  1. Put in at 8:30 and lot was full had to park in overflow top the hill. Started on bluffs with 5/16 homemade black/purple fineness jig and got bit right away. Fish holding in 8-14 fow. Worked my way to chicken rock and and caught some nice c-rig lizard fish in staging areas. Also caught em on rc and ww on wind blown channel banks working back. Ended up with 28 and 14 keeps. Hit a crappie hole before I loaded up and had 6 keeps 1 short all on chartreuse 1/8 oz road runner in 8-10 fow. Fun day! Tight lines and CPR
  2. Pretty fish, use what bait on wobble head?
  3. Awesome fish! Thanks a million for your temp post. I look at them all the time, priceless!!!!!
  4. In my opinion nothing better eating than big gills even better than crappie and walleye.
  5. That's a great day, nice brownie!
  6. Put in at 39 bridge at 10am to a almost full parking lot. Temp at ramp 51.88 warmest I seen was 55.64. Had a great day, caught over 40 fish with 11 keeps. Buck bass are staging and eating big time. Most damage was on green phantom wart and c-rig watermelon red seed lizard. Had several on 5/16 fineness jig, spinnerbait and chatterbait. Concentrated on bluffs, swings and mainlake pea gravel points. Most fish were in 8-16 fow. Worked up to Panther creek and back, loaded up at 6:30
  7. Thanks for report, won't be long and I'll be night fishing. If water maintains some color should be awesome night fishing when temp hit upper 50's and 60 plus.
  8. Been in lots of Ranger boats, ruff wet ride but when you get there, best fishing platform I've ever fished out of. Problem is getting there!
  9. Cmon bro a-rig fish don't count. Just my opinion. Lol
  10. What a great day today! The day of "CHUNKS" Put in at 9am water temp 50.2 so started on bluffs with homemade 5/16 oz brown/purple finesse jig w/ watermelon red critter craw trailer. First hour not a sniff, then in about 16 fow next to wood slight tap and bam 4.68 brownie! Game on, continued on bluffs without a bite so headed point 2 area and main lake deep cuts with wood and had to take shelter in a slip for almost a hour as thunderstorms pounded down. Have had many memorable trips after thunderstorms so I waited in anticipation. Lightning moved out and strong south wind picked up. Keep with jig and slow rolling 1/2 oz spinnerbait around wood in 12-16 fow and ended up with 17 and 14 keeps. Had one big black around 4lbs spit jig at boat, all the rest chunk brownies and spots. Warmest water I found 54.2. Biggest 5 over 18lbs Tight lines and CPR
  11. That's a dandy congrats!
  12. Good job, thanks for the report,
  13. Wow, first musky I've ever heard of on Stockton.
  14. Put in at10 water temp 52-57 started with red craw wart and had 3 with one keeper real quick lost 2 nice ones at the boat. Headed up to high point area and caught 4 more on chatter bait with two keeps. Fog lifted son came out and bite ended for me eked out four more shorts on fb jig and four lbs drum. Tight lines and CPR
  15. Could be fuel line or primer bulb, or possibly fuel pump.
  16. I'm going to Cedar Ridge tomorrow hope to find some 50 degree plus water in the river. First trip to Stockton this year.
  17. My grandfather told me the same about the cows laying down, he said is was a sign that critters were resting and not on the move feeding. Don't know if that's true or a old wives tail, I can add this in my 40 plus years fishing seemed fishing was slower on those days.
  18. Great info, thinking about putting in at cc Sunday and working channel banks with a jig in that area or slow rolling a spinnerbait.
  19. Thanks for the detailed report, what was temp and water color around Springfield cove?
  20. Great advice, anybody have something similar used for sale?
  21. For lighter crankbaits
  22. Wish they would make a-rig illegal, way too many big bass are caught and mounted on the wall. It is illegal in BASS and finally FLW and most clubs and tournaments. Would like to see illegal at all times for everyone.
  23. Had the bluffs again to myself, it seems everybody's on chunk rock banks or 45% banks. Those banks get pounded this time of year so I try to do something different for less pressured fish.
  24. Fish would pick up jig on fall or hop, very subtle bite. All but some shorts simply picked up jig and swam towards deep water. Lost 2 good ones to start, I was not focused. Then I concentrated on each and every cast, really made the difference.
