  1. deal, that would be the first from the mouth right?
  2. Well me, my grandpa, my fishing buddy, and his dad went to beaver last night and didn't catch anything, didn't look like anyone was catching anything till we saw one guy pull up a full stringer and leave... we fished till just after dark no bites at all. I'm not sure if its something we are doing(or not doing) but maybe the whites just arent back in the creeks yet. btw we were using purple/whtie/motor oil swimming minnows, worms, and live minnows.
  3. but i want it noooooooooow! lol its all good guess ill just wait for warmer temps
  4. Well i've missed em all season thus far... i've been fishing for whites more in the last few weeks than i would like to admit and i've caught one.... just one... if i'm at beaver... they're running on swan.. i'm the king of being in the wrong place at the wrong time haha
  5. don't know if this helps, but i heard through the grapevine that people were tearing up the whites on swan two afternoon/evenings ago. me and my fishing buddy went there yesterday and didn't see anything happening at beaver or swan.
  6. So since the weather has taken a turn to the cold will this end the white bass run for the year? or will it start back up? or are they still going to run regardless? i'm new to white bass fishing just wondering if its worth my time to head back out there. Me and a friend went out last night on beaver and caught one. while i was cleaning that one fish i met another gentleman that said they were farther up into beaver creek last night i was just in the wrong spot (story of my life! lol) anyhoo. just trying to get an idea on what to expect.
  7. well, i'm planning to be back out there with some carmel swimming minnows.... fingers crossed lol
  8. Me and my brother went down to slough hollow rd about 6ish and fished till dark. he caught a small one on a red/white jig, i didn't catch anything. people seemed to be reeling them in around me don't know what i was or wasn't doing. maybe i need to invest in some motor oil or carmel swimming minnnows and try again. hope its not too late.
  9. I may just have to try that
  10. Went out again tonight caught two this time. One was too small but the other one clocked in right at 20in yep im oficially addicted
  11. I was down on beaver creek last afternoon/evening. I personally didn't catch any but there was another gentleman there that seemed to be catching one every few minutes. a lil frustrating to be honest but its all good. so just saying looks like they may be running any day now since the weather is getting so nice.
  12. ya know, its funny you say that. That's my personal truck, I got that door from a salvage yard over 10 years ago. Its my fishing truck so i don't care what it looks like so I never got around to taking off the lettering. That's how my friends and family recognize me driving down the road. So I had to take the pic in front of the door because I had some friends with doubts maybe I need to talk to those guys about reimbursement for 10 yrs of advertising haha
  13. Yes, i'm officially hooked for life (no pun intended)lol caught it on a purple swimming minnow down near shadow rock park. was just over "18 so not as big as some of the monsters i've seen on this site but gotta start somewhere.
  14. I know this may not be a big deal for some but this was for me. Yesterday afternoon I caught my first walleye! Being the newbie that i am to fishing its really nice to finally get some return off all of the lures and bait i've lost and/or fed to the local fish this and last year lol
  15. I goto the tackle shack across from primetime in forsyth, they have some good sized medium shiners.
  16. Thanks all for the good info. From what I was told the boat is ready to run all it needed was some tires for the trailer and he was keeping his batteries that were in the boat, but I will go over everything that you guys mentioned. Hopefully none of the following will happen to me
  17. Ok, so I'm aquiring a boat from an uncle of mine because he doesen't go fishing anymore and I've never owned a boat before. I know that it must be titled and registered but is there anything else that I must do to put in at any of the lakes in the branson area? Some friends of mine told me that you will have to get permits for each lake that i will be fishing in (Taneycomo, Bull shoals, Table Rock, ETC.) Thanks in advance for the help
  18. I love that spot, I fish on the dock quite often. pink/white powerbait eggs and lemon lime seem to work for me there. catch my limit most of the time.
  19. I have been down there a few times since the start of the year and other than catching a cold (and a couple bluegill) that's bout it, however i'm a complete newbie when it comes to walleye also i was fishing from the bank.
  20. That puts a whole new meaning on the term fish taco.
  21. Greetings all so i'm a newbie on here so just puttin out the offical howdy n such. Can't say i'm very good at fishing but i've always been told that is more about the company than what you have on your stringer. Hopefully i can add my $0.02 when i can and might pickup a thing or two.
