  1. Mine are done, and should be mailed by the weekend.
  2. Since this is the closest trout water to my home, I am hoping to get out in a week or two for a day of aqua therapy. I haven't been to the Illinois since last Novemeber, what flies are they liking?
  3. Question- I am a man of limited sight and have probelms seeing dries up next to me in the water. You mnetioned that you fish dries close to you, any comment on how close? I use a humpy up top when fishing a small midge to work as a strike indicator when I can't see the midge.
  4. 10 it is. I'll repost when they are one the way.
  5. I use a plastic sack from Big Box Mart. As for the hooks and sharp objects, I dispose of them in an empty soda can
  6. 2.5 hours to the closest trout
  7. I'll tie an olive flymph.
  8. I don't know, never been walleye fishin'. But then again, I am most likly not the Caddis you are looking for.
  9. Sounds great, I'm in.
  10. Zach - please post some pics of the shad kill, or of the fat pigs you're catchin'.
  11. Now I've heard it all, this is a priceless quote.
  12. I wouldn't mind being a test case.
  13. Sounds like a better story that that idiot in the Carolinas who left half a million in his pickup while he went into the strip club, he came out and it was gone. And now he is saying that thieves using counterfit checks have stolen the rest of it and he has none left.
  14. What rotten luck, you catch 20 fish and wear out a fly. I am more likely to lose it in tree, drop it in the water while retying my not, or something of the like. A fly that lasts 20 fish, we should be so lucky as to catch 20 fish every time out. I have no problem tying on a new fly after 5 or so. IMO that is a good problem to have.
  15. always with, except when without
  16. Thanks, I tried to search for it but came back with nothing.
  17. Leonard, Sounds like a good day. You have mentioned this "Roo Bug" a time or two before, but I cna't find anything more about it, care to share?
  18. my bumper sticker came the other day, looks great, Thanks Phil
  19. I need to work on a kitchen pass
  20. I'm in OKC and fish the Lower Illinois about 6 to 10 times a year. I've found that small nymphs work the best for my style or lack of style. Olive, brown or ginger are the colors if it is sunny. Black, grey and a dark purple if overcast or raining. When I say small, I mean small, 18's are typically the largest I fish with there, and I generally use 7x tippet. I know that others will say they use bigger, but my experience has been to stick with small.
  21. Got mine Tuesday as well, what a collection of trout slayers this is. Good job to all.
  22. I'm not going to be able to complete this one, my family has experienced a loss on Sunday and I am too busy with family at the moment.
  23. I'll tie something, not sure what as I am in on a few swaps right now. I guess there's no limit or minimum to tie. I also have some supplies ans such that my wife would love to see moved.
  24. OK, so where are we on this? If there are any extra's how about sending them to IRAQ (see the Flyfishing Iraq thread)?
  25. Looks like some sweet action. I agree a care package might be in order.
