  1. I'll have to try some of those Wrench.
  2. On the screenshot I see 3 leaves.
  3. I see a generic blue fish, a whale, and a kiss/wink face.
  4. I see 7 leaves.
  5. I do something like that with spinnerbait trailer hooks. I just cut a small piece of a McDonald's straw and use it to hold the spinnerbait trailer hook in place.
  6. I have been experimenting with this. I'm still not sure it is worth the trouble. I will continue to try it though.
  7. The problem is, even with the rough lake you get when the wind kicks up on Stockton, it is still less rough than a busy weekend on Lake of the Ozarks. Stockton used to be a lake I would avoid at all costs if the weather looked bad. Now it looks like a feasible alternative to dealing with huge boats and drunken idiots with no concern for anyone but themselves.
  8. It costs $8.50 to cross with my boat (round trip). I'd love to put in at Shawnee Bend from time to time, but not for that cost.
  9. I think it is silly that you cannot get a year pass. I might be more inclined to use the bridge if I didn't feel like I was being nickel and dimed to death. I really think it would help the west side become more accessible.
  10. I have been learning to skip docks using a jig. I am starting to get pretty good at it, but I am having a terrible problem with my jig trailers sliding down when I do a lot of skipping. I am using a Jakked Baits 3/8 and 1/2 ounce jig with three different trailers: Rage Craws, Berkley Chigger Craw Crazy Legs, and Gene Larew Salt Craws. I have tried super glueing and that seems to help, but it seems like as soon as I glue a trailer on, I end up tearing off the claws. Also, the glue seems to deteriorate the jig skirt if it gets any on there. This has proved to be a great way for me to catch bass on Lake of the Ozarks, but I could really use some help keeping my trailers on better. Should I try a different trailer? Is there a better way to keep them on? Or, do I just need to accept that this is going to happen when skipping jigs under docks?
  11. No doubt. Tonight, I had a cove to myself with two pwc's on the far side with the drivers stopping in for a swim. No big deal. They were quite far from me. When they decided to leave, I was fishing the main lake point and one of them literally drove over my line. I was kinda taken back by their rudeness. They had a few hundred yards that they could have driven, but instead decided to just take the most direct route to their future destination which put them within casting distance (obviously, because one of them drove over my line). 😡😤😡😤😡 Also, if you go out, make sure to have a jig tied on. The worm bite (my bread and butter) isn't really hitting for me lately. They weren't quite as shallow for me as they have been, but they were loving the jig. I had had another first today too. My heavy action flipping stick broke right above the first eye closest toe the reel. It happened while I was making my first cast with a football jig. I've heard of that happening to other people, but never experienced it myself before. That was a brand new rod too. I just bought it in March. I wonder if Bass Pro Shops will replace it? I'm going to find out.
  12. The next open tournament will be July 22. Same times: 8:00pm-7:00am. Out of PB2.
  13. She does a pretty good job most of the time... until she doesn't. 😉 Holler at me when you'd like to get out and get after some of those green fish. I'm available most evenings.
  14. I was there yesterday, but only got to fish for a few minutes. I spent most of my time on the river teaching my 2 year old to reel in small perch. The fishing at bennett seemed fairly slow. A few guys were catching them every now and then on small black midges.
  15. I would like to publicly thank fishinwrech for getting me back on the water so quickly last week. I bent the armature on my trolling motor and the Minn Kota service center wasn't going to be able to get me in for quite a while. Wrench got me in and out right away. Thank you Wrench. It was great to finally put a face to the screen name. If you need boat work done at Lake of the Ozarks, I would recommend you give him a shout. He will take good care of you.
  16. There were 30 boats. A few less than expected. Probably due to the poor weather forecast. 23.05 got 1st place. I believe 19.28 was the last check cashed, but don't quote me on that. 1st big bass was 6.17 and 2nd big bass was 5.86.
  17. I agree. Main-lake stuff is too tough to fish in the summertime except for very late at night. I try it sometimes, but usually realize how terrible of an idea it is rather quickly.
  18. The fishing on LOZ is good. However, much of the fishing strategy involves trying to avoid the huge pleasure boats that will make fishing impossible. Most weekend fishing in the summertime takes place at night for this very reason. It is the only time you can get out without being capsized.
  19. Usually 25-50 boats depending on what other tournaments are going on that night or the next day.

  21. You may be correct that the classic summer pattern is soon upon us. It didn't work for me this weekend; but with numbers like those, it can't be far off.
  22. Wow! That is a pretty drastic jump. Glencove marina is currently at 79.8 degrees.

  25. I noticed that. I've been watching it. I was told my multiple people that the plan was to shut it off. I didn't happen when I was expecting it to; although there was a slight reduction, as you said.
