Jeremy learn how to fish the NE side of the island in front of the dam. Those brush piles never felled Jason Weast or myself. We always get 15-20 lbs off that one side. Then the 2 markers on Martins flats. Go there and on the North side of the farthest marker is a drop off to 30’ str8 down. Giangantic brush pile thanks to the best angler ever on pomm or lake Ozarks, Bill Davenport. He seems to catch more 8-10 lb bass out of that hole than anyone around. The other marker north of that one, keep boat on the east side and fish it. Keep boat in 20’ cast up in 3’ and you will have a hey day. Big jig and stick baits. Hope that helps. Now go verify what I’m saying and thank me with some pics since I’m in atlanta ga now. No one has won more money on pomm than Jason Weast and myself. Maybe Brandon Goodman and myself but you’ll never wanna crank pomm again in a tour if you learn those 3 spots. Good luck

I left heaven there on Stockton, pomm and Lake ozarks for the big world of Atlanta Ga. there are spots on all the lakes just not the 5-8 lb spots that are in lake Lanier by Atlanta. Go to the little sac arm and throw a spinner bait, jerk bait, wiggle wort or the Alabama rig on any mail Lake point. You should have a lot of fun. There is some large mouth in the 8-10 lb range but 1,000’s of 2-5 lb large mouth. You won’t catch a small mouth most likely up there but seldom they are that far up. 10-12 mph isn’t bad. You will find plenty of places to get out of the wind. Put in at Muttun, go out and turn left, go under the bridge and go 1/4 mile then take a gradual left. Go until you go under the power lines. STOP, go left till you hit the 45 degree bank. Thank me later......

Also get some bed rigs in green pumpkin and purple and hit the banks by cedar ridge. Tons of 2 lb bass there on those 45 degree bank

Let me help you with this. It’s very very simple. Even today you should put your boat in 12’ of water. STAY there. Throw a Stan Sloan spinner bait 1/2 ounce and burn it. I’m talking 1/2 inch under water. Wake that baby and you will catch some big fish. Also throw a rock climber or a wiggle wort in red.

Nice fish. Looks to be in the 6 lb Pluse range but maybe closer to 8lb. I wish they would raise the length limit back up to 18 inches so we could have 4 lb walleye all the time. Regardless, very nice fish

You can also get the A rig for Crappie at Fin & Feather here in Spfd Mo. I can also say the crappie rig doesn't work that well at all. You will get creamed by a guy throwing 1 jig over the a rig where it is 3. But I wonder what it will do fished with minnows on all 3 hooks. White bass are being caught 2 or 3 at a time on Table rock. I caught 3 keeper kentucky yesterday on the same cast plus I had another follower which mint I had 4 fish on 1 cast. My partner got one in the boat yesterday on the dummy and had no hook. That was strange and I have never seen it before.

Mr. Williams you can fall into a deep hole so with me saying that I hope you use a canoe. There is several holes as deep as 15 foot down below Tunnel dam. Above Tunnel dam there is holes but i'd say no more than 10 over 6 foot deep unless you get by a root wad then you will still have a hard time finding a deep hole. I myself know that area very very well and I would not put on a pair a waders and wade below the Tunnel dam.....1/2 mile above Tunnel dam on down to me is a no wading zone. Much to dangerous. Thats my opinion and I hope you listen.

I'd focus the Alabama Rig obviously as a starter and go from there. If you are like others who refuse to throw this bait then in March I'd go with the Wiggle wort and Jig. The Rogue bite will not be so strong with the lack of a shad kill.

I grew up fishing that area since I was 3 years old. My grandfather had a heart attack and died climbing the hill outta there at the power house. Like Fish said the small mouth are far and in between. I do catch a 4 or 5 lb smallie every year there but not every trip. Great crappie fishing, Great cat fishing is a guarentee at the power house. Mostly know as catfish area. There is also a LOT of carp up there. You wanna catch 4-8 lb walleye, then go to tunnel dam. You can catch them there. I have seen rainbow trout caught there in the 10 lb range as well. more than once as well guys. Actually i've seen 4 trout over 8 lbs caught there but it was 15 years ago and they may of been washed down from the Bennett Springs area or they could of still been coming from the Ha Ha Tonka State park. Wrench had a bad trip I remember him saying that a cpl years ago. You really can't wade from about 1/2 mile above Tunnel Dam on down to the main lake. You like to set trot lines and limb lines, then you will love it around tunnel dam.

Shows you how wrong You are. I can afford a $75 fine. Just like going past the line right next to Bagnell Dam. That fine is $88 and us who fish don't here do not care and if we did we would stop. Maybe it will stop you but it WILL NOT most of us.

Skill, that is why you want this thing banned. Cause you so called pros don't have advantages anymore. I know a ton of people who say THEY will throw the rig if you ban it or not and I am one of them. This levels the field. No more can they call you pros ( PRO ) anymore and it's funny as hell. Cry babies are now coming out of the wood work. Like I said, bitch and cry all you want. The avg weekend fishermen is not gonna stop throwing a bait cause the cry baby pros don't have advantage anymore. Even the OMTT circuit is not gonna ban it cause if it's legal then throw it. Maybe the Pro's can argue this on the radio show. But my guess is none of you will call in cause again, your behind a computer and you don't wanna look like a baby like Some are over this. The best bass fisherman in the Ozarks is Bill Davenport. Way past all you wanna be's. Maybe the field is to equal now for some, but the avg fisherman is not a pro and the Pro's WILL NOT dictate this rule. If so, when you fish against the avg guy and you bring in 20 lbs and the avg guy brings in 30 lbs you can bet it is the Alabama rig doing its job. You think the rogue is bringing in 29 ls last week in the winter bass brawl. How about the rogue on table rock last week 27 lbs or the 28 lbs on lake Ozark last week or the 25 lbs yesterday on lake ozark. Not even close. Try te Alabama rig and you so called pros are scared. Period. You can stay scared cause if there is no poly test then 100% of the avg fisherman will throw the rig all year. Open your ears and ear what people are saying. We are fishing the rig no matter what you say.

I don't care if you like it or not. I fish all 5 hooks and I also fish tournaments nor will I put it down. The guys who fish jigs and brush piles are the cry babies cause they are about to get there asses handed to them. This is a fact. The hibdons had almost 28 lbs a cpl weeks ago on it at lake Ozarks. There will be many stringers over 30lbs using it. You don't like it, go fish somewhere where you know others will not be throwing it. I myself will throw it every time and 3 hooks or 5 hooks I don't care. Period

Fishing wrench, I'm gonna kick your butt. Lmao, who is this you butt clown. I'll kick your butt upside down -
I am very interested in your bass club as there has not been one in spfd that I know of in years. Please sed me a number to call to ask questions please. Thank you
-
I'd hope the fish was still wet. I fish and release everything. I do not fish tournaments cause of all the cheating bastards.
-
not a bit of mud from Muttun creek to the dam....Crystal clear and untill say a week from today I'll be lost. So in a week the fish will be in the bushes that are new to getting wet!

LoL, you guys had me going back reading all the post I made. I was thinking Omg did I say small mouth. I was fixing to look like a idiot. Is there any 10 lb small mouth. I'd say not in Missouri. There is state record small mouth on Stockton though. Most of us have caught 5 and 6 lb small mouth on Stockton. But 10 lb. I'd have to see all evidence of one that big caught on any lake. Right now though I have some friends who is wanting to fish some Thursday night tournaments. When do they start. I don't see anything for them.
-
I hear it is 11. I have caught a bunch in the 8-10 lb range. Ive caught a bunch of 11 lb fish on the rock over 30 years and I'd say there is several hundred in Stockton over 11 to 13 lbs.
-
Thanks you but my main report was to let everyone know exactly where to go catch a bunch of big crappie.
-
Turkey Creek was dirty and I wouldn't say muddy......Just dirty. I'd throw a spinner bait all day long and not put it down at all. Water clarity from the bridge looking down was perfect. Tomorrow, IDK cause they got a lot of rain this afternoon. Mutton Creek is clear all the way to sons and the other way to Chicken Rock.

It turned out to be a great Good Friday on Stockton Lake. Put in at mutton at 8 am and ran to the back of greasers and caught no bass but once you get to the back of Greaser it takes a BIG bind to the right. Don't turn go str8 until you hit the flooded bushes. I had 11 crappie in 10 minutes on a big spinner bait. The dam cranes was pulling big 13 inch crappie out of the bushes left and right. But that's for you crappie guys. Water temps was 58 degree. I then ran out of Greaser at 65mph in my Ranger 519vs to a cpl other holes. Let me tell you all this. In 3 hours I caught 47 large mouths and only 4 was keepers but guys I caught 4 keepers on a spinner bait. 1 was a little over 8 lbs and it is safe to say I have never caught a bass that has fought harder than what she did. She hit me like a train. Matter of fact the whole thing would of made funnest home videos final cause I feel 2 times before I landed in the water. Good thing I was in 2 foot of water huh. Water was clear and 58 degree. My 47 14 to 14 3/4 inch fish came on a carolina rig lizard. They nailed the lizard and it didn't matter what color. It was a lot of fun. I left at noon and had a blast. I hope you find this information helpful. I know I did not give locations of my bass but I did for you crappie guys. They are in the buck brush. Hell just stop and watch the cranes eat the fish out of the bushes. Good luck everyone and wear your life vest and survive alive to fish another day.

You can go to L5 I think it is by the nemo bridge where the tree row runs out on the big point. Go behind the tree row and throw a big butt spinner bait and out of 100 cast you will get blasted. Some fish over 30 lbs. I still think we caught a state record muskey a few years ago. I'm talking beat the record by several pounds but I have know proof. I released her and had no camera. She was huge. Throw a big white spinner bait and wake the think and have 100 lb test thread or at least 40 lb mono. Good luck. That is also the best spot on POMM to catch that big muskey.
-
I believe you got the pics of my best 5 last Sunday. Plus a another 10 lber caught in March. Did you get the pics
-
Since crappie fishing is so easy and cats are harder to catch, I hope you can let us know when the cats are somewhat on. Thanks
-
My fish are coming on carolina rigs right now. Regardless what you hear others saying but the spawn has been on for about 3 weeks. My main go to bait is a 1.5 ounce jig.....Yes I throw a big jig. I like looking at the fish on the beds cause I have a cove that if full of bed fish. I went today and only seen 5 beds in my cove with fish on them. A LOT of empty beds. I think they dumped 2 days ago. I agree about the not fishing beds. NO WAY and I am glad you feel the same way. There needs to be more of us out there. On Stockton when the fishing gets tough and you all go deep I go shallower. Thats right. I fish 4 foot of water or less 10 months out of the year. The other 2 months I fish maybe 10 foot at the deepest. Spinner bait, big jig and 14 inch worm is the baits up there for me!
