    My boat broke down while on the water yesterday so don't know if I will make it. I may fish it if one of you guys don't mind a woman in the boat with you and is willing to take me on board.

    Fished from Holiday Island to Owl Creek. Caught several smalls and one keeper on a jig. I tried swimming a jig (since several chased mine when bringing it up) spinner bait, drop shot, spoon, crank bait, lipless crank bait and a Plopper. Caught some on the drop shot and the jig. My biggest was about a 4 or 5 poud LM on the jig. Threw the Plopper from 5 to 6 pm and only had one blow up that didnt hook up. Did not catch a whole lot but got to see a wood duck, deer, eagles and countles other birds.

    Awesome! I try to get my daughter out fishing but she doesnt have much interest in it. She has been and has caught bass, just doesn't care that much for it. Maybe she is more intersted in boys as she is pre teen.

    The "rocks" in their heads make cool necklaces. The bigger the fish the bigger the calcium rock.

    Service berry and red buds are blooming and whites are running. Dogwoods will be about 3 more weeks is my guess.

    Probably didn't have to eat for a week.

    Fished last weekend out of Emerald Beach. Cought several drop shotting an area in 28 ft of water. But most of our fish came on a small jerk bait in the backs of coves with bait fish. Nothing big, maybe 2 keepers but we had fun. Had a mix of lm, sm and spots. Any time they busted the surface we would throw in there and catch one. Had a fun day.

    Last weekend the shad were real thick in the backs of creeks too.

    Loon color for low light/night fishing, I know it or shad for day.

    Yes, it is Holiday Island. I put in at Eagle Rock because of that.
