  1. First off... Terry.. Sorry I cant make it today... and even if you dont catch many... remember... I caught enough tonight for the both of us!!! Now for the report.. Got to the water about 1am... 1 unit looked to be going.. but it also seened to be dropping... I fished around (NOT IN THE) chute 2 for about 20 minutes... nothing.. went to one... olive pines quirrel was the choice fly of the night (for now) ended up with 8 fish well by now the water is off.. Funny thing happened at this point... I heard the gunlant calling my name... So I head that way.. got to the head of the gunlant... and the second cast was a 17 boy and caught 17 fish before the moon dropped behind the dam... fly used was a TNS well by now I was ready to go home well I went the rebar... fished a pine squirrel olive... for 45 minutes every cast was a fish... missed 3... caught well over 25 out of the reber up... I was strating to doze... even the "special" coffee is making me sleepy

  9. OK guys... after giving Terry some BS... here you go... I too fished with a Zebco (the little silver ones.. well I had 2 of them)... This zebco was a good one (in my youth).. I got one for my birthday.. and the 2nd that same year for X-mas... the very first Brown I caught (over 20in) was one these reels... 1st one was caught Downwtown Branson fishing off those old docks... fishing with corn.. next to the Main street boat dock.. the 2nd one was caught behind the C of O... we had access to the lake before the camp was built.. and the access just below Phils place.. That little gravel bar on the college side... my family has spent alot of hours fishing that gravel bar... Leonard
  10. Jim.. Im not Phil... but this may be able to answer your question... As I read your post I remember I have a jar (of eggs) in the closet so I checked... To let you know it still smells like the trout food they feed the trout at the hatchery... How old is it... well it is one of those large jars they stop making sometime ago..I dont think Ive have bought power bait in maybe 6-7 years... If that says anything.. Also this has always been inside the house.. not outside in a garage or in the back of the car.. so maybe it the way That I have keeped it stored... Leonard

  24. NOW WERE TALKING!!!!! just to add to Terry's post.. 3-4 trout (or 1..20-23in trout) 1 large bug of corn chips 1 large finely chopped onion lemon juice cut fish up the belly, remove insides. clean and rinse well .. set aside Next break open the bag of cornchips (just enough to let air out).. with the palm of you hand smash them the best you can.. Next place them in a ziplock bag and crush them some more ... make sure you smash all the big pieces... Add in your chopped onions and lemon juice (add just enough lemon juice to make the chips a soft)... About 2TBSP Next.. Take a piece of tin foil (heavy duty).. and butter it down good.. place the fish on the foil... and fill the cavity add wrap up in the foil.. Cooking time is about 10-15 per side... But.. remember you can test fish doneness like a steak... if its still firm its still rare.. if you can feel the meat almost breaking apart its done BUT REMEMBER... Never over cook fish!!
