WATCH OUT White river trout.. Im coming to make some lips sore!!
Kano..
they have been generating heavy again lately.. as far as the phone # goes.. you just have to keep calling every few minutes till you get through..
4 units and 708.4 at 3:pm.. if that helps.
they have been shuting them down at night for a bit.. but last night I think they turned the down to 2 or 3.. but the lake kept coming up and going down.. made for some hard fishing
Leonard
I fished this when I lived in Neosho...
This is a nice little stream that is a great little place to fish.. here are a few pictures taken by Britt (a Neosho local) and sent to me.. This pictures are from Morris Park (if I remember right that the park)..
this is at the low water bridge
I think this is just above the bridge
This is only about a half of mile of the stream...
Leonard
Seth...
Great to met you again.. and your buddy...
Last night was tough.. but I finally got into the fish..

I showed a guy how to rig a dropper (midge and egg) and a glo indicator.. we went to outlet 2 and within the first 6 casts.. I had 3 fish...
then I got him to try it... HE HAD A BLAST!!.. not sure how many he caught..
I was out till about 3am this morning...

Also congrats... it looks like your Member 3,000... WOW this board has came a long ways in just a couple of years...
As for spin fishing we wont hold that against you... I think we all like it alittle... some just wont admit it...
Drew..
I fish Shoal creek.. never caught a trout in it..
But its GREAT for smallies and crappie (I just wouldnt eat them!)

Since I didnt post a report the last time I went.. it was a slow night for me... about 2 hours of fishing with DuckyDoty and caught none.. he left I went to chute 1 and caught 2.. then went home this I believe was the night of the last TU meeting..2/7/06....
Now on with tonights report..
4 units on when I got there.. Mr.Ducky and DuckyDoty were already there..
sometime after 9pm there shut it down to 2 units
I took the 7wt tonight to fish a sink tip (its going to take awhile to get use to that)..
I fished the break in chute 1.. where the water runs.. and the chute meets it in the lake
started with some big stuff.. leeches, jellybeans, and a deceiver... 2 hit on the jelly bean.. but no fish to hand
went to the car and got the 5wt... after about 4-5 flies.. I found it.. a brown pine squirrel.. caught 3 (1 being about 16in) very fat fish!!
after about a hour and half.. time for coffee (the GOOD stuff!)
when I returned I had to grab a mink from the van (yes I did the stripping thing tonight).. make fun of it if you want to.. but with 6 fish Im the one laughing
well by now the ducks have flew the coop.. guess they got cold or it was to windy for them ..hehehe
well before I left I put on a Mohawk sculpin.. 3 more fish..
I had 2 really big fish hooked.. so tomorrow night I know what I'll be using
I fished between 8:30 and stayed to just before 12:30
so some where around a dozen fish..
Leonard
Terry..

Reel is Great...I love it!!!
I have the choice of putting it on a 5wt.. or the 7wt.. I like the way it cast on the 7wt.. the 5wt is a little hard.. but I'll be getting a 6wt rod before summer ends (my B-day)
Yes the little guy loves to fish.. loves to wet wade.. and loves to release the fish.. He gets mad at me for put them back in the water before he can.. But I just tell him that he has to be a little quicker getting them back in the water...
Short story..
we were out one afternoon..
and caught a little bow about 14in long (it was one of those that has the half of a black head)... a few days later we went out again.. and caught one about 19in.. with a black head a ways down stream.. and with a few guys around he says...
"Daddy we caught the fish already.. But his bigger now!!" those guys just started laughing... I LOVE IT!!
well this is Terry's falt...
he said something about the little guys fishing..
Picture time!!

In this picture... he found a piece of line with an glo-ball still on it... look really close in front of him.. and you can see the fish he is trying to catch...
this is the one that gets Terry... cause my 3yr old can out fish him...LOL

"I spray the guides on the rod with W-D 40 and that seems to help keep the ice from building up..."
HUMMM???
never tried that.. I know chap stick works..
I may have to try that!!
sounded like you know how to fish cold weather...
Leonard
Aeronikl...
Hey bud..
so you like those sticks
Here is another little tip.. a buddy of mine showed me...
take them out of the package and use a black sharpie and color 3/4 of the stick.. let it dry .. and ready for use... make sure to leave the lite end out..
Ive noticed after awhile the sharpie does wash away.. but by then it has toned down a bit...
SHHHH... Dont tell ducky!!
Leonard
The colors I like are just a bit different..
I agree.. Black,tan,olive works well..
but.. I like the browns/light tan, also.. a olive with a little orange or pink in the middle.. pregnant scud.. works great early summer...
taxidermist....
WOW....
Of all things to go wrong on the winter... That has to be the worst!!!
But I understand... Hot Hands handwarmers... warms anything!!

Sunday...
I went down with my 2 boys and my dad... I didnt care about catching any fish... I was just glad to be there,,,
My dad caught somewhere between 7-10 not sure what he said...
I caught 2 and let the boys bring them in...
I worked on a couple of big ones...
but left the whistle in my vest at the house..
