  1. Just got back last night. Caught walleye bottom bouncing from 12 to 22 ft. deep with nightcrawlers. Didnt catch a bunch but most fish were keepers. No crappie, once we started on walleye it was hard to quit. Very nice weather and not too many boats! I need a weekend house on Stockton!!!!!!! Awsome lake...

  3. Got the ok to head out. Walleye and crappie watch out!!!!! Bringing the fish fryer with me. I hope I just didnt jinx myself. Bringing a buddy on his 2nd trip to stockton. Last year we had a blast bottom bouncing.Might try a little trolling with the shad rap.Thats a big fav of mine. Any info on what depth the walleye are hanging would help. Will post when i get home....
  4. hey ducky, do you get snagged up trolling shad raps in that shallow of water?
  5. Champ, Had to come back to this topic, could not resist. I too had a how close is too close some years back and I was by myself when 2 guys tourney preping cut between my boat and the shore. They were searching for bedded fish. I was off the shore a good cast away when they passed. I sat there in disbelief!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I lashed out at the zipperhead. His response was "Thats the way it is nowadays". I really wanted to show him how it was "BACK IN THE DAY".Thank goodness for the h20 seperation. His partner got a good look at me and wanted to bury his head in a compartment. I cant believe it but i took a deep breath and moved on. I am really glad I did not take it any further. It would not have changed his mentality. I'm sure you have seen plenty of this yourself. Confronting these idiots is not the answer. Believe me,nothing would have made me happier than to tear him up. Move to your next spot and who knows you might see a OA member who will yack it up with you and may even share his lunch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. Hey Bill B, I know your heart and soul belongs to TRL. Mine was too!!!! Im from STL and spent many of days on the rock since my parents brought our family of 10 down there camping when there were few resorts on the lake. the best days of my life were on TRL. The crowds and the tourneys ran me off a few years back and reading this post reminds me of why i left. I will never bash TRL because i know the good people who live on the lake have respect. When the meatheads show up to disrespect everything,Thats it for me
  8. Hey Straw, Nice fish!!!! You have the world by the %&#$*. Every time im on here you have another fishing adventure. You are going to live to be 200 years old with all the fresh air you are getting! Live it up!!!!!

  17. Anyone that fishes the park may know my buddy Ed. He is the silver haired GENTLEMAN who fishes the bathroom hole every morning. Ed has suffered a severe heart condition and is fighting like a champ in the University Hospital in Columbia. Ed is known by his friends as "THE IRON HORSE OF THE ST.LOUIS FIRE DEPT." Please keep him in your prayers.
  18. I hope that is not the case. If it is, "GOOD LUCK". I cruise buy his home on the way up to the dam area and say to myself that i will hire him to guide me some day just to see how its done by a pro. He seems to be a humble fisherman on a very nice lake which seems hard to find these days. Like i said before, not bad mouthing anybody but he seems to be "OLD SCHOOL" which i like. I learned to fish from my Dad,my brothers, and a good friend named Richard Crouch on Table Rock. What i have learned from the above fish slayers i have never needed a guide. Someday i will give him a call to catch some walleye.
  19. Not that I dont enjoy Bobs reports,Marty was the first guide to give great reports a few years back. Always wanted to fish Stockton in my younger days but could never give up TR. I goofed up and went to Canada to catch Walleye and could care less about eating another bass!!! Finally turned to Stockton about 6 years ago and have been learning the Walleye gig! Mainly fish the spring but very interested in some fall walleye slabs. When and how do walleye start their fall transition. Any info would be great. Anyway, Thanks again Bob and Marty for the timely reports!!!!!!!!!
  20. SWEEET!
  21. How do you put them on a hook?????????
  22. Hey Smalliebigs,I feel your pain about the back of your mind thing!"STUPID" people get under my skin bad!!!!!!!!!!Sooner or later these knuckleheads will self destruct. The odds are with them. In the meantime, enjoy your time fishing Stockton, protect your personal space,AND TIE ON THE BIGGEST ZARRA SPOOK YOU OWN AND KEEP IT READY TO DEFEND YOURSELF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  23. Bottom line. Where is the water patrol? A couple of 200$ tickets can fix stupid pretty quick! If things are that bad on the water, call them. And then call them again, and again! Get my drift. This is their JOB. The boat ramp thing i cant help you with. I dont know if people are just that stupid OR they just dont care. I think it is BOTH!!!!!!!!!
  24. Hey straw, sorry to hear about bout with the bass boater!Wish i could have been with you. Where i come from in stl we have a saying for @#$holes like that."I'M YOUR HUCKLEBERRY".
