  1. I've heard good things about All the TFO rods, not to mention their lifetime warranty.
  2. Nice brown!
  3. Congrats on your first brownie! Sorry to hear about the waders though
  4. In some places it can be quite deep but you should have no problem finding places to wade fish
  5. Really? So did I! If anybody finds 2 nets, 1 is probably mine.
  6. Does anyone know where I can order these online? Thanks
  7. I have been catching some monster bluegill over the past week in a cold and clear golf course pond with rooster tails. Sorry I dont have pics but I will try to get some up ASAP
  8. Rooster tails for shallow bluegill
  9. Welcome to the forum!
  10. I am using some 30 lb Cajun Line Which I bought at walmart for around 5 bucks, and you get a whole lot of it too, I have also heard of using amnesia line also. I have not used mono though.
  11. Wow, thank you for all of the replies guys! I have used braid with a Fluorocarbon leader on by baitcaster but switched to strait fluorocarbon or strait mono because knots were almost impossible to undo on braid, the backlashes were a whole different story .
  12. Your fly line may have kinks and chips in it. You may want to get some line dressing that will lubricate and fill in small cracks. Your guides may be catching line, try pulling a Q-tip or cotton swab through your guides and see if it catches. I agree with Dano to, you may not be loading the rod enough.
  13. I am going to the james in a couple of weeks. What pound line do you use? Can I use a baitcaster?
  14. I indicator fish with everything but streamers. Have not tried Glo bugs at Bennett but have had great success with them in the C&R area at Roaring River.
  15. Sure does
  16. Wow that looks fun, glad you had a great trip
  17. Welcome to the forum
  18. I think TFO rods are the best for the money and have a lifetime no questions asked warranty. Also, Redington is an affordable option too. I own a 7' Dogwood canyon 4wt, a TFO signature series 8'6" 5wt, and a 8'6" Redington RedFly2. Good Luck
  19. I use some really cheap strung saddle hackle that bass pro sells for somewhere around 5 bucks. Saddle hackle is used in dry flies too. I have seen woolly bugger specific hackle, last time I saw it was at bass pro.
