  1. No doubt largemouth... Beauty of a fish, especially on accident. Very nice surprise to lip that one, my guess is around 6 lbs. Makes me smile and I wasn't even there Congrats!
  2. For those of you who don't have it, here is the Lowrance 4.0 update step by step. Which was a pain in the butt for me to figure out. Hopefully this will help someone... Lowrance sent this to my email account. I downloaded the 252MB file (4.0 update) and save to the sd/mmc card. The download took approx 30 min. Then this single file must be unzipped into 3 seperate files before plugging into the unit. Note: you must use an sd card that is bigger than 252 MB and smaller than 32 GB and I would use a blank card to start with . 4.0 HDS Update FILE TO Decompress or Unzip: (if you already saved it to a card or folder) If you have a single file showing after the download of the 4.0 HDS update do these steps: On mmc card….right click on file and choose to “Run as…administrator” this will start the ‘InstallShield Wizard’ to unzip or unlock the file to get to the files inside that you need. You will click ‘Run’ or ‘Ok’ again to begin….once the box appears that says Welcome to the Install Wizard……Click Next, 1) Box gives you the choice to Modify, Repair, or Remove…then Do this: Choose Remove at this time, and follow the instructions to remove until you get to the Finish Button. (This will start the decompressing of the zipped files, it will not delete file). After you click finish, Go back to the mmc card (or the folder the file was at) and right click on the same file again. And choose to Run as Administrator (yes, gain)…….follow the instructions. This time one of your first choices will be to copy. Click Next or Ok here also 2) select the removable drive for your mmc/sd reader or to another location, [if you do not see your removable drive letter listed … highlight the ‘save to another location and click Next…..a directory name box will appear with a browse option, click on Browse to choose your folder of choice] * { May bring up another smaller box to “look in:” if this appears click on the drop down arrow to find your ‘C’ drive or other options }. Again you are looking for the mmc/sd card reader drive. IF you do see the letter for your mmc removable drive selection (this can be found in ‘my computer’ normally), then highlight this and click Next. You will see a summary of what and where this wizard is going to do the copying. Click Install to send the file to the location you have chosen. This will take a short time since the files are so big that it is copy. This time it should come up with the option of where to send the files to…..with the browse option. Make sure you tell the wizard where to send the file…..to the mmc removable drive for your system. Follow remaining steps to get to the finish. The files your should see on your finished location is 'three' total, one is a file folder called 'Sims', one file will be update.conf, the third is HDS 4.0.36-standard. All three files need to be on the sd card that you place in your unit to perform the update. Have unit off, insert card, then turn unit on to begin the update. Unit will get to a point after the progress bar that states to remove card and hit your power button to re-boot. This will finish the update installation. When unit returns to the map screen to accept the warning screen, it is finished. ****HERE IS WHAT YOU DO TO GET THE UPDATE OFF OUR WEBSITE FOR THE FIRST TIME. GO TO www.lowrance.com click on Downloads; click Product Software Updates: scroll down to HDS - All Units, click on it; before you choose your operating system.....pc or mac. Scroll down to the PC troubleshooting and click on detailed instructions to see what pages you are going to see during the download.......Then after choosing your system type..... Choose the option to Run from there, (not save). Follow its instructions to send to either a removable drive (sd card) or to a folder in your computer. The download is 149 mb size, so it will take longer than most updates. When unit returns to the map screen to accept the warning screen, hit accept. Update is now finished.
  3. I also have a carrot stick e21 with micro guide eyelets. I love it but am not sure what's gonna happen if I ever have to replace the rod tip... Very light and sensitivity is great...
  4. Lots of great info on the internet, hopefully this helps. http://www.askcatfishfishing.com/how-do-i-set-up-a-trotline.html Hopefully this site will help explain. Whatever you do just be careful running lines especially if u have a weight on one end or in the middle. If u get hooked and slip because of wind or rough water, you'll end up at the bottom.
  5. I fished this past Sunday from about 730am to 1pm, around niangua branch and caught 10 bass and 4 keepers biggest was 17". Bite was decent but seemed like the fish were scattered in depth most on zoom watermelon char dead ringer, couple on war eagle spinners and one on a wiggle wart. Most all were halfway back in the coves an some on the points. Boat traffic was heavy as expected and it was HOT! Im not the most familiar with LOZ but had a blast. Good luck
  6. i got the file converted to .usr and imported it on my lowrance hds. I am not exactly sure how they appeared on the chart lol what do the symbols look like? black boxes? any advice for a computer dummy would be much appreciated thanks
  7. Beautiful!!!
  8. I didn't even think to check 724 outdoors, were used to tough fishing at tr. I guess we will give it a shot! Love to fish thanks buddy
  9. I almost always fish table rock but am thinking about taking my dad to loz tomorrow for a one day trip by linn creek area... How's the bass bite been? Also what depth?

yesterday afternoon I caught a 20" 4lb largemouth off the dock on a 12" plum berkeley power worm texas rigged. Went out this morning and threw everything...Could only catch bass on worms anything green pumpkin or purple laminate... Ended up catching 12 or so bass mostly on a weightless wacky style senko made by net bait in the table rock red color fished on the bush edges around point 9. I have learned soo much from this site, so hopefully this will help someone too. Early morning or late evernings have been best for me but i caught that 4lb at 2 in the afternoon in about 3 foot of water. theyre in the lake dont ever give up
  12. Can u paint one for me? I don't own one and have never used one! I would gladly pay you...
  13. Wasn't there sorry to hear about the issue. I love the marina, great service, great people pretty girls and always a nice stop on the James! However not many bass up that way lol haha just kidding
  14. I'm an electrician, my two cents...(my father-in-law is a master electrician) Like you said something is drawing it dead, sounds like slowly. I would turn every thing off and check to see if any lights, pumps, etc are on and if not. Go to your fuse Block and pull your fuses one at a time, testing the load side to see which one is drawing energy. If you end up not being able to find the problem you most likely have a short somewhere. Then I would consider a main breaker, disconnect. That wouldn't be too uncommon, I have a ranger comanche and it has a main breaker too. My two cents good luck!
  15. busy day on the lake today... found a largemouth pattern on a 1/2 oz carolina rig, zoom lizard green pumpkin or watermelon with purple flake, 2 1/2' liter dragging on bottom. all on gravel. all spawned out... hopefully helps all fish 10' - 20' good luck
  16. Thats terrible... If you have to steal things from honest people to better yourself you dont belong on table rock lake...
  17. True for sure! Sometimes when the fishin gets tough I switch to cooler fishing :-)
  18. I understand that completely. I am the only one in my family(out of the in-laws) that fish. I hate to make that walk up from the dock to say" nope didn't catch any fish! Lol" but it actually makes me smile as I head back to the dock. Seems like I always learn more on the days I don't catch fish! An old man from kimberling city told me" once you think you know what your doing, table rock will spank you! Lol better than work I guess
  19. Kinda off subject but is goat island the island between point 9 and Baxter?
  20. Abbfish, perfect example look at Pete wenners video report from last week. Cast out and let sink to the bottom always keeping line tight. Jig/pull tube up through water and reel down slack. Key for me is slow.........and patience works for me! But there's always more than one way to cook an egg. Just my two sense lol
  21. i agree thanks bill. havent got the chance to fish with u yet but your report helped me catch and release this 4-12 smallie this morning on a green tube. i bought from bob up at table rock tackle. those guys are excellent. always willing to help out. thanks again, good luck to all
  22. All my wife wants to do is run the trolling motor!!! Nice fish!
  23. Sorry to hear that, sometimes cooler fishing can be more productive.
  24. Still very neat. I've been fishing on the rock for 9 years and haven't ever caught a tagged fish! Still pretty cool
  25. If its windy throw gray colored (mouse) 3/8 spinnerbaits on windy banks. I love the war eagle! Very easy way to fish for the 3 different kinds of bass! Put in at Baxter $5 or less good luck and don't give up table rock is very tough at first but once you start laying into em you'll be hooked
