Im looking for a small 2.5 to 3.5 hp motor to put on a pelican pontoon PM me back. hope to find one soon.
Also looking to try and purchase a built in live well seat.
thanks Brad, I knew u would come thru with a good report. THe buddy and i are debating if we should hit Pomme or Stockton both are very good lakes this time of yr lol!! I will give a report based on where ever we go.
Just wondering which would be the better of two places on pomme to go for now by boat, Bolivar landing area or or then lindley arm. any info or input would be greatly appreciated.
i wanna say late summer, but over all this guy used pink worms 90% of the time and out fished me everytime. i have never seen so many packs of pink worms unless i was at the store lol!!!
A buddy and i fish around these areas and we mostly use jigs but sometimes we wish we would get minnows but we dont know where to get them without traveling out of the way to get some. Any info would help.
just looking for a little 2.5hp motor than i can put on my 10 ft pelican to scoot me across the lake channels of where i fish. But not looking to break the bank on pricing. not looking for anything older than a late 90s or mid 2000s.
PM me if you have pics and or know of some places to look
Greatly appreciated.
i would suggest a 12 ft boat or u could even go with a 10ft pelican from Academy for right at $500 (cheaper than Bass pros pond prowlers). I use a 30# thrust and i go to pomme and stockton just as long as the wind is none to mild. Definately stay in coves or river channels. the deepest we have taking our 10ft pelican is in about 25 ft of water but that is normally to cross from oneside to the other.
Best of luck, hope this helps.
launched at the pittsburg landing area and boy was it windy. got to a crappie hole with in like 10 min, and first fish was a 3.5# channel cat, then after that my buddy caught one small crappie that was released. It was hard keeping the boat above the brushpiles. We were using jigs only, and was out there for almost 3 hours.
