Caught some nice channel cats last friday afternoon out of bolivar landing.

Looks good Oneshot We enjoyed catching a few whiskers on Pomme a few days ago too!

Due to the high water and falling levels, I was surprised at the positive fishing report from MDC this morning. Can anyone confirm? Pomme de Terre Reservoir Fish Reported: Channel Catfish: Good Crappie: Good White Bass: Good Walleye: Fair Black Bass: Good black bass good on spinnerbaits and swimming minnows; white bass good on minnows and plastic jigs; channel catfish good on nightcrawlers; crappie good on chartreuse jigs and minnows near banks; walleye fair on bottom bouncers and mid-running crankbaits off main points. (Reported on: 5/16/17)

I noticed they shut down the outflow this morning. That doesn't bode well for the short term. Hopefully MOPanfisher has an update soon.

I've been finding lots of channel cats out cruising shallow flats. Fresh cut bait is your best bait option. You may find some spawning on rocky banks by the 4th.

My son and I caught 10 channel cats Saturday morning in the 1 to 5 lb range. We got hot and quit before the fish did. The pic is from a couple weeks ago.

Oneshot, Fished the last two Saturdays out of the Bolivar ramp ... caught 15 or 20 channels each time... Lots of small ones mixed in though.

... No ... It's just intoxicated crayfish that are killing the lab rats.

Catfishing for us has been hit & miss. (My boy caught a nice one on a crappie jig & ultra-lite rod a few days ago, that was fun to watch) ... Crappie have been good once you find them.

Is there still a level drop planned for June 15? How fast will it drop? Just trying to tell how big of an impact it will have on this weekend's fishing. Thanks for your help.
