  1. Any suggestions on good low water ramps or specific ramps to avoid in low water? I read somewhere that on some ramps you could back down too far and end up falling off the lower edge....ugg
  2. Bill, who do you have paint your lures? Do you have some "go to" colors for your jerk baits?
  3. Thanks I ordered them today
  4. I have a Lowrance LMS 320 and Navionics South Region Card for sale. I recently updated my system to an HDS 7 Gen 2 and will make someone a nice deal on this older sonar / gps unit. All the necessary items included for a full installation. The compatible Navonics South Region chip is included which is rare and hard to come by. asking $175 for all http://www.lowrance.com/Root/Lowrance-Documents/lms320_0105-971_092502.pdf thanks

  10. Thanks Champ but I am not familiar with the term tex-posed....by that you mean to set the point in a bit?
  11. Champ Do you ever run the point of the hook back into the soft bait on a shakey head presentation or always keep the point exposed? Thanks

  15. Would the spinning rod work well for dropshotting?
  16. I am really excited to learn some late winter / early spring crappie fishing techniques. TR crappie fishing will be all new to me. Any tips and advice the group could give me will be much appreciated. I have good gps and sonar in my boat. Where to look for them? Deep shallow ? Jigs grubs minnows? Ever suspend the bait under a float? Thanks in advance
  17. I would call Ranger and see if they would sell you pieces of their pulltrusion. It may be hard to rip and crosscut to match your old lids but if you can, you will have a permanent solution. They have a variety of widths, lengths, and thicknesses. I toured the plant and had a chance to examine pulltrusion and I truly cannot believe how strong it is.
  18. Troy. Count me iin
  19. The sonar function on my old Lowrance LMS 310 that I use at the console is only showing vertical lines. The GPS function is working just fine. The old Lowrance X135 sonar on the bow works okay. I would like your input on the following: Is the LMS 320 worth a technician looking at? By who? Should I get a new sonar/gps unit for the console? Which ones do you guys like? If I get a new unit for the console should I plan for a new unit for the bow? Any recommendations who to buy from and use for installation? I am confused and can use advise! THANKS!
  20. Great boat! Smart lady, I prefer the extra room too
  21. Bill I saw a comment you made some time back about the brand of flourocarbon you use because, as you said, it has ZERO memory. I am having trouble with this on my new spinning reel and what brand would you ecommend for 8 to 12 lbs test? thanks
  22. This may be a lame question but here goes.... When you catch some walleye or crappie, where do you normally clean the fish you keep? I do not have a place to clean them where I generally stay so I am looking for some guidance on this matter. Are there any regulations against tossing the remains back into the lake? thanks!
  23. Bill, What sonar unit are you using on the bow of your boat? thanks
  24. us too 1 walleye on a spinnerbait! and two Smallies in IP area
  25. I would like some opinions about a go-to rod and reel setup for crappie fishing on TR. I got a nice gift certificate for my birthday and think I might upgrade my crappie spinning rig. Suggestions? / comments? thanks
