I feel the same way about fishing as he does about golf, it's tough to clean up after a client has spit his skoal or beechnut all over. Or some kid thinks it's fun to smash cheetos in the carpet. I didn't last long, it became alot more fun to fish when it wasn't a job. Know several guys that dropped out of the tourney scene because they wanted to start a family. Any of those guys are as good as any elite, just have different priorities.

Totally agree with your post except the last part. I believe there are more than 1000 with the ability, but not the desire or money, to fish the elite series....just my opinion

Thought about selling all my other gear and be exclusive to the rig... Think I'll come out cheaper and catch more fish

Learn to read little better, I never said they were not good. But to compare elites to Tom Brady.... Please. There are what maybe 50 pro QBs? I believe there are more than 1000 fishermen as good as or better than the elite pros, just like I believe there are not 1000 QBs as good as Bradys back up.

No doubt the elite guys are some of the best, but comparing them to pro athletes is just dumb. How ever they got to be elite they still paid for their elite status, with or without sponsor money.

Tom Brady was PICKED to be paid by a PRO team to play. KVD PAYS to play elite, I mean pro. Big difference. Pro fishermen have my respect to do what they do, but bottom line is there are 1000's that want to play pro football and don't have ability. Just like there are 1000's that have the ability to fish pro but don't want to or don't have the money.

The board is made up of some of the best "SPONSORED" bass fishermen in the world. Dont be misguided to think they are the absolute best. There are MANY better out there that do not wish to pursue the tourney trail. And this argument will be moot next year when the dam thing doesnt catch fish like it used too..... just like every other new thing that has come along. Cull... never cracked 25 on fluke or front runner, but have with a jig in front of c-rig, and saw it many times... Have also caught many more doubles with front runner/spook than with the a-rig, used them both about the same. Only been in the area year and half and had never used front runner til I got here.

So you have never used more than one lure at a time? No double fluke, no jig as a sinker for drop shot/ c-rig... ect?

I wanna go fishing with you....WOW I've been fishing it since Thanksgiving and I've not found the day where I just throw it out and catch fish. Usually I have to look for the right areas, depth, lure sizes, structure...

Some body wins 3-4 there will always be those whinners that complain about cheating, with or without the arig.

Not sure up here in the north, but I have used it central/SE ark and fared pretty well in the shallows/bank bushes. Its tough day fishing but worth the reward to me. When you use the hollow belly baits TX rigged doesnt seem to hang up as much up shallow.

It aint what you know, its who you know and thats life. Get pissed all you want, but you'll get over it, or find a new job.

Where is the disadvantage? I mean all you have to do is throw it and they cant help but bite, right? Why does it matter if his state doesnt allow it? How is it wrong?

Since the rig has come out everybody and their dog with half a brain has tried it.... If you dont think the fish are getting used to seeing it you are blinded by your own arrogance/ignorance. When the FLW boys were throwing it, it may have been just throw it and they jump in the boat. But in just a few short months it's becoming a challenge. Does it still out fish other methods? Sometimes, but not as much as it did 3-4 months ago. I fish tournaments too, fished at a very high level for a short time. It's not about leveling the playing field at ANY level, don't understand that argument. If you want level, fish out of same boat with same equipment as everybody else. Have check in and out for practice, everyone has to practice. Nothing about any competition is level, thats why we have winners and whinners....

For all you pro A rig haters.... I was just wondering as I'm watching some football game on tv. Does it make them unprofessional for the receivers to wear gloves, really they're pros should they get to use that unfair advantage?

See state/tournament rules at Lake Millwood, SW ARK. Legal limit is 3 on this lake, what if you have 3 in the well and catch 2 on a zara spook. The answer is VERY clear. You cull down to 3 immediatley, just like you would in a 5 fish tourney and catch 2 on a DD22.....JEEZ
