    Took a look in the garage just now...This one is still a favorite float cooler..wheels,handle, and the original drain plug, are long gone, but it fits my boat very well and keeps stuff cold if you use good ice management.     I got a Fishpond Softside as a gift 3-4 years ago..I like allot for day trips..wont leak in the car (unless you spill water through the zipper). It holds ice pretty well for a softside and the top pocket is nice for stuff you want handy. http://www.fishpondusa.com/icestorm-cooler.cfm Otherwise its an old plastic one with cup holders...Bungee strap through the handles to keep the lid closed.

    Cooking from Scratch has some pretty good fried chicken... I also like Missouri Hick BBQ near Cuba, I dont like it for sit down, but I call & pick up a couple racks of ribs on my way back to St. Louis occassionally. Cheers.

    Thats awesome if you have a place to sight fish for them....There is a great book on carp fishing if you can find it..."Carp are Gamefish" by George Von Schrader...Small crayfish are a preffered food item for carp..so a marabou jig is an excellent choice. Cheers.

    Its always floatable from Baptist down if you dont mind dragging a bit...If June is your timeframe...avoid the weekends, especially below Cedargrove...hundreds of boats...... 1.1' on the Akers guage is dead friggin low and you will be dragging allot at that level. Not much dragging if its above 1.5......3.5' or above...stay home. Have fun!

    Bet he was...anything fished deep enough will catch fish if its real bait...not fake & no good.... A few possibles...seems the last batch of periodical has left the fly box, and I'm lacking in the orange leg category...Think I'll wind a few in the next couple of weeks..

    Big jerkbaits work for browns. Think bass sized models...Early & late best for browns because they are low light ambush predators......and its best to get there first or be there last. Rainbows arent great jerkbait fish...Jigs would probably be allot better for them...A boat would be a big help on Taney. Cheers.

    Ha!..Those park fish will never live long enough to figure out Cicada's...but if you want some periodical cicada patterns a black bass popper with some orange on it does about as well as anything. Cheers.

    The Yampa is Smallmouth & Pike water around Craig....Head up towards Steamboat if you want trout.

    The Meramec is a fickle river to begin with, and it was up pretty high last weekend... (600cfs at Steelville)... When its up high (450 cfs or more)...I usually break out the 7-8wt...and fish a big zonker under a big bobber with a flashy nymph as a dropper. Bring lots of big split shot. Sometimes it takes several SSG shot to get down deep enough where the fish hold at high water. Cheers.

    Its pretty clear that they need to do something different on the White & Norfork..The cutts have never done well down there and the fishery pales in comparisson to what it was 15-20 years ago...It would be nice to see a more sustainable management strategy in place instead of the current one that depends on a bunch of put & take welfare trout.

    I like the translucent minnow colors for clear water, opaque baits or flashy baits for stained water...LC has about 50-60 different colors...but the ones Bass Pro carries work just as well as the harder to find colors. Cheers.

    Think I know that gravel bar on the Huzzah...used to be a good spot till they skimmed it..now its a treeless gravel bar about the size of a football field with a few little doze piles near the tree line. There are lots of threats most stem from gravel mining, development, poor agricultural practices, and some suffer from excessive human use. Each stream is different...

    Sorry, but I dont have a extra...I'd go with a Yakima, but it wont be cheap...Think youll need towers, tower locks, bars (72" will haul two canoes), and 2 sets of canoe brackets & straps.

    Its true..The guys at Hargrove's noticed the trend about a year ago...Sales have been brisk....but its getting hard for the shops to restock.
