  1. Saturday, 3-26 Tourney is from 7:00 to 3:00 at Shell Knob bridge. Schedule and info listed on their website. Pay at ramp.
  2. Got started around 7:00 ish , fished til 3:00. Bite was slow in the AM , but really picked up around noon. Ended up with around 25 total with 9 keeps. Had a solid limit today and the fish are just about to explode with eggs. Had a 17" brownie to throw in the mix and two better than sixteen inch Kentuckies. Most on spinnerbaits and cranks. Flat gravel in about 5-7 foot. Would have posted more pics but no time to fool around with the wind howling like it was.
  3. Fished out of Viola today. Wind was howling and the fish were liking it. Caught a solid limit today, with the attached pic of best two. Fish were in about four to six foot, hanging around the mouths of the creeks and bluff pockets. Wart in watermelon seed and Bl/Blue 1/2 oz jig was ticket. Jig early and wart as the wind picked up. 18 fish total, mostly blacks with a couple Kentuckies mixed in. Lots of trash and floaters. Be safe.
  4. As far as I know, Viola is the only ramp unusable on TR right now. I do know this....you get caught without your yearly or daily permit, it doesn't take them any time to write that ticket. Just ridiculous for not having the ramp cleared in over a month. I feel for the marina owner. Luckily it is winter or it could really affect his livelihood. Anyway, just venting. Would like for our forum members to call tomorrow and let someone in "charge" know that we are unhappy. Phone number is in first post of this topic.
  5. It's been over a month and the Corps has done very little. Have spoken to their office and they are waiting on "government contracts". We all know what that means. They want to include in the contract the cleanup of the entire campground and the boat ramp combined. Get the ramp clear! I told them to just get a backhoe down there so you could get to the ramp. Unbelievably, the Corps owns no such machine. Would like forum members to call on Monday and "nudge" them along. We pay for the use of these ramps and a month is a reasonable time to get it accessible again. Phone for Corps: 501-340-1935 or 501-340-1932.
  6. Yes! Hold your breath....for a long, long time! Just kiddin'. Get to work.
  7. Are you trying to imply Bo should take pictures of his fish to satisfy your doubting rhetoric? This is not the first time you have made suttle suggestions of doubt. Keep whackin me , Bo!!!
  8. I will second that!! If you guys haven't tried it you're missing the boat. Pardon the pun... Personally use them and they are just hard to beat. Great hook, sticks em, and hard to hang up.
  9. Have to agree with ya on this one, Champ. Happy Thanksgiving to all.
  10. All those pretty new jerseys you can look at, Champ. Oh, I forgot, you don't care for that kind of angler and the info they can provide!!!
  11. Nice reply from Babler. Wish I could say the same about Chump 188. You very seldom have anything positive to say about ANYTHING on the forum. I am sure I am not alone when I say you are a real downer! Lighten up and quit challenging any post you don't' agree with. You might feel better if you had Bo take you on a guide trip......
  12. Like to know if they were illegals or not. Names didn't sound like they were born in Tenn.
  13. Browning-- aren't you supposed to be working??? We don't pay you to stay on the internet all day!!!
  14. Demi's need to go to another forum...
  15. Would like to say a special thanks to those who organized, participated, and donated the great gifts for auction!! Had 69 boats I believe, and hope that the proceeds help Officer Pearson and his family get thru this difficult time. If you have not already done so, please go to www.officerpearson.com and continue to help by purchasing raffle tickets for the new Ranger to be given away in June. Tickets are $20 dollars and can be purchased online. Let us not forget this man and the sacrifice he has given to protect citizens like you and I. Thank you, Officer Pearson!
  16. https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtube_gdata_player&v=1j3nMlqd6YA# I know about ad policy on here, but this is one of our own local contributors. That being said, pretty high tech for an old Cassville boy. Enjoy video and give the NuTech products a go. You won't be disappointed!!
  17. Donated in excess of 2,000 tickets and backstage passes to the military, 2005-2006. Performed for 55,000 Marines, Sailors and their families at Camp Pendleton's Rockin' the Corps on April 1, 2005, along with fellow musicians Destiny’s Child, Godsmack, Kiss, and more. The Performance was also shown as a Big Screen Concert Event in 74 Markets Nationwide. In 2004, participated in a USO Tour of the Persian Gulf with Toby Keith, and toured with Keith in The Big Throwdown Tour, 2005. Not to mention his Kamp for Kids and numerous other contributions. Don't know if that is productive enough or not. But it is a far cry from blabbering and doing nothing. Sounds to me like some liberal blabbering going on right here in Missouri. Just throw all you can as fast as you can and hope it sticks. This is not the flailing mass of society that buys into your "ideology". Get your facts right. If you can't, maybe you can get a job as a White House spokesperson for this current administration. Done with you. Back to fishing.
  18. And you know this how? Because of what your left leaning cronies "say" or "print" on some lame butt Internet site. Guess you are going to show us his public arrest record on that? Far as a draft dodger, he was classified as a 1-Y and then later as a 4-F. Didn't say he was my hero. But the choice between him and Michael Moore, laughable....
  19. Nugent would fight and die for this country. Michael Moore would run as fast as his high flyin liberal skirt would let him!
  20. Okay, here it is and you can thank me later. Refer to Dtrs5's post above and do exactly that. The only difference, and the most significant is this. Instead of adding weights with suspend spots, do the following. Find the old Mojo sinkers. Long skinny ones if you don't know. Drill a hole in the middle of the back section. I am sure it is a 5/16" , but do a trial on a piece of wood. Line drilled hole with epoxy. White marine works best. Insert the Mojo into the hole. Might go in about 1/4". Cut remainder off with hacksaw blade. File excess off and reseal entire drilled area with epoxy. Little work here, but once done its done. Weight will keep nose up. Good luck.
  21. Grey Bear, wish we all had as many titles as you list on your posting. It is amazing you even have time to criticize others..... Get a life.
  22. 51 inches long, 47 lbs. gutted. Sorry bout quality of pic. Had to use actual photo James sent me.
