  1. Also, gutters and downspouts freeze solid when the roof melts off and goes into them usually I see this in houses with insulation or ventilation issues. Look around and see if everyone else around u still has snow. Then u kinda know u have something The lowest point of a gutter is the back unless they have adjusted there seamless machine from the factory setting.
  2. I'm at 12 doe plus I have taken some other kills to needy families so you can imagine I'm about done with it myself
  3. Too funny!
  4. Right on Seth !! I nuisance hunt in stl county so I kinda obligated I am thinking more about fishing than hunting though. Happens every year for me.
  5. Last day of bow season
  6. The giggers I've talked to saying the bass are all in dead water like sloughs, or back water that's dead. Not necessarily deep though. My buddy told me of a possible 9 lb largemouth he seen. Probably dead by now though. I love the river down there by you Kayser I guess the grass is always greener
  7. The hoops u have to jump through to hunt these areas r ridiculous.
  8. Any big bucks in ballwin
  9. Will do. I will be all over that spot again as soon as jan 15 is over
  10. The long hole alongside the train tracks is always good right now.
  11. I haven't noticed a (strong taste) I benn eating them for years. I have picky girls so it has to be top notch fish for them to eat. Walleye whites flathead and crappie. I've never heard complaints on the whites and hybrids. They are most similar to saltwater fish I get from gulf
  12. Seth, I agree river otters murder a lot of fish. I use the word murder cause they don't eat what they kill. They leave my creek loaded with bit up fish of all kinds I guess I'm wrong about the gigging problem. Maybe there isn't a problem after all. Or maybe just around where I live and have lived my whole life I guess I don't have time anymore for the OA. Gotta get a lot of deer on the ground in the city. Talk to y'all January 16. Bye Bye
  13. Uhh. It's wrong to break the law? Seriously??? I can't even believe there is any kind of man that is okay with poaching. I eat legally caught fish at least once a week. I don't eat smallmouth cause I'd rather eat something else. In fact I'm bored of catching them but I don't want somebody sticking a fork in their head when it's against the law. I too take a stand against all poaching If my local agents are on this forum they can attest to that. My name is Aaron click and have lived in the stclair area on the river since 80's
  14. No disrespect to smallie fisherman but I'm talking for all fish. Flatheads? Very rare to catch one over 40 lbs. walleye? Largemouth? Crappie for crying out loud. This isn't a stab in the dark-no pun intended a few guys on the river are poaching the best of the best fish. First weekend of gigging season it's a guarantee you will see spoonbill in 30 bridge hole. By Christmas they gone! That's what I'm talking about. Who would eat suckers when they can have flathead and walleye? It's not even a argument. I've seen it Over and over. It's too freakin easy to do. They can't stop themselves.
  15. Here's the deal: if by chance a walleye, smallie, flathead, largemouth or whatever makes it through the gauntlet of life to reach a size considered trophy then along comes said gigger and its all over but the hot oil. That's the point. They will never pass a trophy fish up. Same knuckleheads will shoot a booner day before season. I only gig hog mollies so its hard to mistake them for anything else. If gigging season on the meramec closed I wouldn't shed a tear. I'm telling you from living on the river my whole life that its a overall bad deal for anyone who fishes with a rod and reel
  16. That hole where u dumped it is known as shofners big hole. The gravel diggers are the same company that dredged 30 bridge stretch. Word is they ran out of dredge room so they are hauling it by truck from the bruns farm which is where u seen all that I love that stretch u guys floated. Where u put in at 30 my office overlooks the boat ramp.
  17. I will put in at red horse in morn Maybe run to below thirty at daylight then up to sand ford area so maybe let you know what works for us. Taking a guy out to test ride and fish out of a river pro.
  18. Sorry Gavin bout not answering your pm. The forum won't let me answer?? Call 6366298266 river is clear and fish able 30 to river round is one loooong float. Therefore one of the best. Little pressure on those big smallies.

  20. I didn't get to fish much but I caught a short walleye and numerous smallies.
  21. If you put in at 30 bridge you can run a couple miles by prop. They were catching big crappie this weekend all through there
  22. I have as well. I haven't seen the flocks of adult hens that lost their clutches either. Seems as though most hatched and are raising their succulent little turkey nugget morsels
  23. That's funny how each person is wired. I put my poles down and it's over! I don't have that fire in me again til jan 15 is over. I used to trap, fish, hunt and even got into archaeology for a long stretch of time. Then kids. I love them. I nuisance hunt deer in the county and I have to put my all into it.
  24. I am almost out of fishing time! Dove season then bow season. Only unusually warm weather that hinders hunting will get me back on water. Sunset hills big meeting tomorrow night to legalize bow hunting. Watch the news. Might see me giving my speech on why bow hunting instead of sharpshooters
  25. Okay so the river still looks like crap!! Maybe run up till it gets clean. 35 miles up maybe. Worst fishing summer I've seen in years. Hopefully it stays dirty all gigging season.
