Went out for a few hours today at PC, got some shad from the very back of the Avoca cove and started to freelining them. Caught a nice cat and a couple of black bass on the shad, got pretty bored, so I started throwing A-rigs, caught a couple of small white bass back to back and then nothing. Left around 6:30 PM, thought about maybe running to the river arms next time to chase them white bass as they should be spawning soon!

Yep, I'd call that a good day on Beaver anytime.

20 lb fluorocarbon, I know a lot of people use braids, but personally I don't like them.

Forgot to mention that it seems like EVERYONE at PC today is throwing A-rigs!! Maybe we need to figure out how to make one and sell it for 6 or 8 bucks, we'd probably make a killing on it!!!

Hope you get better soon, F & F. Went out this afternoon for about 4 hours, caught a small striper about 8 lbs freelining shad. It was the only bite we got at PC today. I was wondering how come I didn't see your boat out today, thought you might went to chase walleyes in the tailwater, now I know.

BTW, I was out there with pop at PC from around 4 to 7. Not one bite but lost 2 A-rigs. I think by the end of the year, the bottom of the lake will be full of them rigs, most of them probably from me!! Maybe I need to pick up scuba diving to recoup the cost!!

Eventhough I did not catch any fish today, but it was a great time out there with F & F. The sight of that monster is amazing. It gives me hope that one day I might catch one like that!!!

BTW, I will bring some white rooster tails just in case I run into a group of whites. The image of fighting 3 or 4 big whites on the same line is just plain crazy fun!!

I'm gonna try to go out to Beaver one day this week and give the A-rig a try. Sounds like I should of gone today! Anyone has any recommendations as far as what type of lures I should try on the A-rig, I just hope I don't loose it or $40 is gone with the rig and the lures!!

Wow!! Looks like I really need to take the boat out to Beaver and not sitting in a chair at Lake Atlanta waiting for the trout to bite!!

This was at 4:00 PM. I fished til after sunset and left around 6:30 PM but didn't get a bite.

I'd finally caught my first striper yesterday at Beaver. This old lady hit a freeline 5 inch shad at PC. She is right at 36 inches long and weight about 18 lbs. Want to thank F & F for his tutelage and know how on striper fishing, it would be impossible without his help!!
