  1. BTW, how was that gar????
  2. Some places advertise 100% gas, but when you look closely at the pump, you realize that only super unleaded is 100%, other grades are mixed with ethanol. I think the gas station near PC is like that.
  3. Scary!!
  4. good report! Wish one day I get to fish TR!!
  5. You know I went and got that PURE super unleaded gas from the place u mentioned for $3.79 when the average super unleaded goes for about $3.30. Can we trust anyone anymore?????
  6. Royal purple, royal blue, royal pink. Please just keep our boat in tip-top(royal) shape!!!!!
  7. BTW, have you clean/ cook that gar yet, and what do you think??
  8. Jason, like Scott said you didn't miss much at all, was out today from 12:30 to 5 PM, only caught 3 whites and nothing else. It's funny how we caught different species of fish at the same general area. Can you tell me more about this Royal Blue stuff you are using? After gettin stranded once for no reason(finally blamed on old gas), I'll do anything to make sure it does not happen again(I've started to put pure super unleaded gas in the tank, hope that makes a difference).
  9. What's what I have, one of them the drag system went bad, Cabela was nice enough to replace it. A couple of line-counter started to stick, but overall, they are good reel, especially when on sale!!
  10. Great report, good mass of fish. Are those Cabela brand reels?
  11. Wonder if the marina charges $3 per boat this weekend, too.
  12. Got you, but that wouldn't interfere us fishing tomorrow, would it? I guess I'll head out after noon or when the storm moves out.
  13. I saw around 30 to 40 boats going by the store today on 71 B. No wrapped boats, just lots of bass boat. Is there a tournament going on or someone's having a protest for not being able to use the ramp??
  14. Thank you, I would stop by the shop and get a quote sometimes soon.
  15. There are some shops that advertise on Craiglist that are local(Rogers), wondering if they are any good. Would like to stay local if possible, but a trip to Springfield gives me a great reason to go to BPS!!!
  16. Thanks for all the suggestions, I might have to sneak out tomorrow after work to try some of them!! And Scott is right, I still remember catching my first striper(18 lbs on shad I netted) like it was yesterday!!
  17. It's all good, even If I cannot get to 2.4 or above, I'm still out fishing and having fun, that is what I really want!!
  18. Just curious, what mph are you guys running your boat when it's barely in gear. I wonder if this is something I can get the shop to fix (slow it down)
  19. I think we are poisoned by u no who. I used to be happy by catching a few bass, but now I WANT crappie, walleye, white, and hyhrids.
  20. Beauty!!
  21. Yeah, but a kicker motor on the back of a Fish and Ski boat just doesn't seem right!!
  22. Oh, and my two stroke motor is so loud, I'd go crazy if I have to listen to it for a long period of time. And I'm sure the fish don't like the noise neither.
  23. However at 2 mph the batteries for the trolling motor drain too quickly That's my problem, I could get the trolling motor to go above 2 mph, but it probably last an hour and starts to slow down!! If I run the trolling motor at about 1 to 1.2 I could be on the water all day with the same speed!! I've tried the in and out of gear a few times, it's a pain keeping the boat at the constant speed while looking at everything else( fishfinder, planar boards with flag, rods and lines without the board, and where the boat is going)
  24. I was trolling with my 24V trolling motor, going about 1.5 to 1.8 mph. If I push it too far, the batteries drain really quick!! My two stroke 150 Merc goes too fast for trolling, barely in gear, I'd be running about 3.5 mph so I don't use the big motor for trolling. I was trollin #7's, I need to go pick up some 5's and 6's!!!!!
  25. Scott, I think you've caught them all, we stayed til 7 PM and got 3 LM, no crappie
