happened to me once years ago. I was way up in Flat Creek and had one jump straight out of the water right next to the boat. This was in the middle of the summer in flat calm water and nobody else was around. I never told this story to anyone because didn't think anybody would believe me. I guess its more common than what I thought. Not sure what i would have done with a 50 plus pound spoonie flopping around in the boat. Kind of reminds me of those flying carp. good thing we dont have those yet.

thanks Wrench, I will get the serial number tonight. I think that the volt regulator is built into the alternator.

2010 90 hp mercury 4 stroke motor is not keeping the battery charged. I can run about a 1/2 day the and the volts continually drop down to around 11.5 and then will not turn over the motor. I had the alternator and battery tested and they are both fine. I have checked all connections and everything is clean and tight. Anybody else ever have this issue.

Always wanted to float from 215 to taylor or to the steel bridge. How long a float would that be?

Been duck hunting for a few years now but I have never hunted teal. I have a few questions that maybe some of you may be able to answer. 1. will mallard decoys work or do I need to use just teal decoys. 2. I will be hunting the backwaters of large lakes. Do teal inhabit these areas? From what I have watched and read most teal are shot from small ponds. 3. Is it true that teal come in early and then that's it. I look forward to trying this out this year. I appreciate all of the good people on this site and have enjoyed reading all of the posts and learned a lot.

2011 sun tracker fishn barge 21. Merc 90 4 stoke Wireless 55 lb thrust moterguide plenty of room for my kids and I can still fish. Boat control can be a issue when it's windy. One day I'll get a bigger trolling motor. The one I have is way underpowered for the boat. She will still catch fish though

Gonna stay at edgewater second week of March. Anybody know how the fishing has been on the lower end. All the reports I ever see are for the upper end of the lake.

Stayed at edgewater several times over the years. It's a good clean reasonably priced place to stay. And they have kitchenettes or full kitchens in there rooms/cabins

Went saturday night and only caught one small bass and one tiny white bass. Same as others have posted, lots of bait fish attracted with the light. I did have several bites but they were just tapping the minnow then that was it. This is the first night fishing trip I had all summer were I came home empty handed. My wife went with me for the first time and I blamed all the bad luck on her. After reading all of the reports I guess I need to apologize to her?

I caught one about 15 lbs a couple weeks ago that had the same issue. All of the smaller catfish I have been catching have been fine.

Orleans trail marina Lol. I have caught several around mutton creak on accident Walleye fishing with a jig and crawler. Some were pretty big. Never weighed them but probably 10-15 lb fish.

Thanks for the info. I know springfield got about 5 inches of snow but I wasn't sure about the Forsyth area. I love fishing the lower end this time of year but every time I can go it seems like it snows.

Years ago I would catch some smallmouth while trout fishing but never actually targeted bass. Bass is all I usually fish for on Stockon but like to trout fish in the winter months on Taney. Might just have to bring a couple bass rods on my next trip to lower taney.
