  1. Youch! I have to stand with my original comment on the subject lol.
  2. I hate it. I only caught one crappie on table rock this spring. I was sight fishing for bass and saw it guarding. That was a first for me. It was extreeeeeeeeemely aggressive. I let it go though. I didn't want to dirty a knife for one fish. That and Stockton donated some crappie to my freezer.
  3. It was probably a 1/2oz dropshot with no.5 and no.3 willow blades.
  4. Very true also.
  5. Wow that is a gutsy profession I'd think for a guy with warrants.
  6. The new 3.0 diesel is intriguing that's for sure.
  7. You should start that trend. Sun protection and tons of real estate for sponsors on a 10 gallon hat.
  8. The golf hat thing has to stop though.
  9. Sorry champ but that was a hilarious reply. What depth were most the bites in? I assume a football jig?
  10. I'd think this thing would be a killer creek rig.
  11. That's why the "how many tournaments has it won" question gets old. Especially when asked by people that could care less about tournaments any other time. Most of my fishing is done with the best 5 mindset but a lot of time it's more about what you are doing to catch them then actually catching them. That's what keeps fishing fun. Especially if my kids are in the boat. Sometimes I'm just trying to teach them something to better their fishing for later rather than just catch as many as I can. Saturday at grand I could have flipped all day long and loved it but throwing cranks was what I wanted to do so we did it.
  12. WOW! Man talk about feeling like you have a target on your back lol. I bet you couldn't move fast enough.
  13. Thats awesome. I bet you were flat ready for it too. That's a nice place you guys have to use. I wish every kid had a place like that to fish.
  14. Another point proven. The "we" word. Used by the insecure to help them feel like everyone is on their side. Classic stuff here. I've noticed you do this quite a bit actually. Hmmmmmm

    That is interesting.
  17. I agree with this even if I may be guilty of it. I do get fed up with the instigators and even what I'd call bullying. Some people just can't fish and it bothers them when they see others having success. What's next then ? You cut them down on a forum because of there good fishing trips apparently. one more smiley today for the road.
  18. I find that hard to believe. I'll fully admit I think it's stupid and ironic when people gripe about how the Ned is constantly talked about yet on the other side it's constantly getting griped about and ridiculed. People like you and others would rather instigate than actually offer any substance to a conversation. You end up talking about it as much as the ones you complain about talking about it to much lol. I seriously do not believe that anyone here is that serious about using the thing. They may enjoy it a lot and talk about it a lot. Dtrs is the main advocate for it here imo and I've seen him say many times there are other lures or presentations that are better at times. Also you have to keep in mind some people have a 90% of the time bait and that's fine. It's obviously working for him. Who can blame him? Like I've said I've hardly used the thing but I believe it works and it has a place in my boat when I dedicate enough time to get more familiar with it. It may or may not work for me. Fishing is very personal as far as what works. You can't catch others fish. It josh everyone here including the guys using the Ned a lot know that. Finally the last comment shows I'm getting somewhere. Thank you for the conformation! Anytime comments like that are made (along with spelling and punctuation corrections) it shows the other person is really really digging for anything to get back at the other guy. Kinda like when a boxer gets his bell rung but he smiles. Everybody knows he's getting his butt kicked. So keep taking it off topic. You're just proving my point that much more

There was a better bite on it to be had but I'm a newb at it so it was progress anyway. Are they not stacking up on points and ledges at loz by now? The September part is surprising to me.

    A bass pro video?
  21. Ok. So even at that depth you'd be comfortable not feeling it and knowing how far you are moving it when you do? You'll have to bare with me on wrapping my mind around that because I'm used to throwing a football jig in that situation like most.
  22. You don't have a problem maintaining contact at 40+ with the 3/16? 6lb line I assume?
  23. In that particular tournament. That doesn't speak for all. By no means would I choose to use 6lb line for that but those Hibdons get it done. I've seen them do it up north for smallies too.
  24. Let's not forget boat lifts. Seriously how many 3-4+ pound smallies have been heaved over boat lifts on table rock with 10lb line using a finesse jig!? Lots of many has changed hands to this pattern. In fact I could see the Ned shining in the situation beefed up slightly.
  25. Eh I have no idea. That would turn the jig head around when you dragged it. I'm not sure how that would work. Put a big enough weight and you can bounce the Ned around like a dropshot lol
