  1. No older than it is I bet they stand behind it. I had to use their customer service once but it was in a new unit. I hope it works out and keep us posted please.
  2. You could say that actually.
  3. Yea but what about the flooding? Did it jack up their weigh in site? Or are they worried about safety? Not enough ramps? Low turnout? Etc etc etc. I wish they would have gave a little more detail. The lake itself is no doubt trashed. 10' over right now.
  4. Now I'm curious about the line twist. My money is with Unimog.
  5. You bet. It'll be 752 by the end of the day. 10' over is a ton of water in grand.
  6. Looks like they bailed on this. I wonder what the specific reason was? I'm hoping it was because the parking lots is under water.

I won't say this often, actually I haven't yet and I may never again, but pretty much I agree with this. I won't say EVERY bass has the same potential but I think the genetic thing is over played. Texas has proven that to me with the share a lunker program.

To be fair walleye are stocked and from the mouth of the conservation themselves letting them go for reproduction does basically nothing at all. In Missouri anyway.

Don't do it man! That's the other direction a big fish post goes. It's gone the two worst ways now officially lol.

Champ you are just advocating more business for Bass Pro Shops wildlife recreation center. Shameless plug for Rangers new owner.
  12. The weekend may be better as things settle in. Keep the old bank line in mind. Also keep steeper banks in mind if you believe the fish are to scattered. I'd definitely start on willows at the mouths of coves though for sure. Here's a link to the water level. It's came up a half foot since I posted this morning. http://www.swt-wc.usace.army.mil/PENS.lakepage.html
  13. That will be mud there right now. Also the fish will be scattered waaaaaaay waaaaaay all over that thing. Putting in at a river just seems like a bad idea to me. The farthest up elk I would put in would be number 10. Plenty of willows to flip in the area. Personally I'd launch at terra Miranda and fish from wolf creek to honey creek but that's me. You likely won't launch at wolf though because the water is way up in the flat parking lot. This is why I suggest terra Miranda. I may be spelling that wrong.

For the record there are far more important lives being lost senselessly met with much less passion than a picture of a fish taken away from water.

I just wish every time a big fish picture showed up it didn't become a conservation topic. I'm as concerned about our fisheries as anyone(!!!) on this site but let the man enjoy his completely legal catch while the rest do it the way they feel is best. Congrats sir.
  16. So doctors can't save 68% of snake bite victims!? That's a new statistic by me.
  17. That's the way I see it.
  18. Well I just didn't mean to give the impression that I'm pedal to the metal all the time. I'm paying enough from stupid stuff I've done on sport bikes to cut my time short in a boat. Like I said I like to trim it up when I can but its not an all the time thing by no means.
  19. It's 749.91 now which is pretty darn high for grand. You only need 744 to make an excuse to flip a few willows and 745 to be excited about it. I imagine it's a little trashed right now I can't remember fishing it this high. It might be fantastic though. I'd expect lots of debri floating down the lake so be very careful. Select your ramp carefully lol. Wolf Creek ramp is out lol. It's flat enough when the lake is normal.
  20. Almost not worth putting on a life jacket for 43 bass.
  21. I agree with some of what you're saying but I think you've got me pegged a little wrong.
  22. Shoot if I see a tornado I'm slowing down and watching that sucker. I just enjoy pinning its ears back sometimes. It used to be all the time. Now that I worry more about my non warrantied outboard and fuel mileage I do more modest driving. I was just hoping we didn't have another member of the speed limit club. I'm all for responsible driving though believe me.
  23. Well your opinion is your opinion so that's fine. I disagree completely thought. There's a time and place for everything. My boat does 70. That doesn't mean I do that always even when it's completely safe for me, the public, and all of God's creatures for me to. There are absolutely most definitely completely idiotic people that are going for every tenth they can muster regardless of the conditions and yea I agree that's stupid. Speed limits on the water would be stupid though. the same people that suck at 70 are gonna suck at 55 only now they are likely in a smaller boat that's less capable in rough water. Most likely. Not always. Anyway I was mainly just curious. I didn't know if you meant at dark, or specific situations or what.
  24. As in ever!?
  25. I bet you were crapping little green apples when you saw what was going on.
