    Skunk Removal

Despite the interruptions I'm really enjoying this thread! If the skunk got trapped the first night this epic thread would have never developed. Now let's bring it back to the adult level.
  2. My dock? I mean damage on my boat from a dock. If you wasn't talking to me sorry for the misunderstanding.
  3. I hate to keep reading about this spy bait. I do not want to believe.
  4. Thanks guys!
  5. I wanted to add and you may already know, do not buy local. Universalmania.com will save you quite a bit over retail. Normally I'd encourage buying local but this is a no brainer.
  6. Unless you go with side imaging.
  7. Lol! But you couldn't live without it right?
  8. Used 898's go around $700 and 998's $900ish. If you are set on new then the 899 would be your best bet. I keep thinking about selling my 798 and getting a 859 but I can't decide.
  9. Lowrance does do side imaging. I'm not sure where you heard that or if I'm understanding you correctly. They're both great systems. I've heard lowrance has a slightly crisper image. I prefer humminbird though due to the user friendliness, much better mapping, and the performance is still great. An 899 would be a great unit but I suggest finding a used hd 998 instead. Better transducer and has a remote/separate gps puck rather than it being built in. If this is going by the trolling motor that's a moot point. I run a 998 non hd at the wheel and a 798 at the trolling motor. Screen size is paramount so get the biggest you can afford. Some may argue that but there's no logic to back up why a bigger screen is not better. I'd run an 1198 if I could justify the expense. I run lakemaster cards in my units and for our lakes they have the best detail and coverage. Any specific questions just ask!
  10. I completely agree that there is adequate access. For me though when we stay at our friends cabin it would be handy if one was on our stretch of water. The only reason I say this is because we drop in and I have my wife drive back to the cabin pulling the trailer. She hates it. Less distance=happier wife. There's actually a small ramp in the cove I beach the boat but no way am I pulling the boat down to it.
  11. Didn't know that. Thanks for the heads up. I wish there was a ramp west of eagle rock. Before holiday island I mean.
  12. Is there a decent fiberglass guy in the swmo area? Surely there is! I need a couple dock dingers fixed. Probably next spring.
  13. We could still use the marina ramp across the street but still, this would be just stupid.
  14. I don't want to butcher this thread but seriously that's a rumor? That would completely suck all day long. I think eagle rock is a good ramp. The parking isn't awesome but it's probably sufficient 99% of the time. The only good thing would be less boat traffic on that end of the lake. Maybe. Anyway, I've bought permits but haven't got the invite.
  15. Very true. One trip down I-44 is all it takes to prove that.
  16. I hope he beats clunns streak. Just because.
  17. Wouldn't this be the first time in over 20 something years?
  18. That guy is in full rock'n'roll mode this year. Good for him. He's proven to be extremely diverse.
  19. Looks like Ike pulled it out with a big lead. Less than 12lbs a day! That almost hard to imagine at that level. I'm not a fan of Ike at all but good for him. He can flat fish and does well in tough conditions. Personally I was pulling for Christie knowing he's a river guy.
  20. I wasn't aware Pomme ever was a grass lake. How long ago was that?
  21. I badly wish stockton was a grass lake.
  22. Woot! Just saw that it's on YouTube so I assume its on the flw site also.
  23. Thank you very much!
  24. Interesting. I just need to clean one next time I accidentally snag one I guess. Thanks.
  25. Wish I could see it. Hopefully it'll be online soon if it's not already. I was fishing a GLAFC the day of the tbf.
