  1. I badly want to do this one day. Thanks for sharing the pics.
  2. Thank you very much for the info! We stay at a friends cabin a few miles into the Missouri side and end up down there from time to time. I hate seeing old things like this change but its bound to happen I guess. About 2 days before the flood I was as far as the big bend on the northern most side in Butler Creek (didn't know that was the name) and couldn't go any farther do to the huge amount of debris back there. It was a fight to get that far even. We left the day following the night it flooded. I've never seen water come up like that or so much current. The current was easily visible on the Eagle Rock camp courtesy dock. I wish we could have stayed another day. Anyway my bosses where there this weekend and told me that it was gone. They've been fishing that spot for years. They also said some idiots in a ski boat were skiing on the flat side in there on the left. I hope they weren't looking down when they did.
  3. I was told the the railroad tie bridge support things are now gone at the entrance of the little creek on the north past the Beaver bridge. Anyone know how this happened? We kinda assume it has something to do with the August flooding in that area and debris stacking up against it.
  4. Sold. Sorry I thought I already closed my ads.
  5. Complete setup. $950 OBO text or call 417-483-5475
  6. Any plans for the jackpot tournaments?
  7. A guess by a club member was about 15 that they know of. Of course it could and should be more if a few from here show and other word of mouth boats.

  10. LOL! I use bang in the aerosol can because it's convenient and not as messy.
  11. Here's the info on the tournament I got today: What I found out today was: $100 per boat $20 of that goes to big bass Launch at 5:30 or safe light Pays one place per 7 boats That should basically cover it I think. Anything else just let me know.
  12. Wow sight fishing for cats? Might be fun! I'm Hopi g to get up there soon. One more weekend at grand then I'm open to hit Stockton. I hope it's not over by then.
  13. Subscribed. What are you using to film?
  14. Thanks for the tips guys. I may literally turn down a trip to Guntersville to do the catfish thing. I know my family will have a blast. We all love to bass fish so this will be a fun change of pace. They should definitely be firing by memorial day correct?
  15. I'm not sure on the entry. You dont need to pay dues for this one though because it's an open tournament. If you want to join the club you can meet some of the guys and get the details at the tournament. I'll try to find out all I can ASAP.
  16. It's just a small deal so no pressure bud. Just come have fun and meet some of the club members. It's a good club and I would have been in it this year had their not been so many schedule conflicts.
  17. That would be great. Like I said I've only done it a few times. I just use a bobber and a long leader with worms. I'd like to try a slip bobber but have never used one. I need a setup that will cast through the guides. I don't mind casting for all four of us but I'd rather give the slip bobber thing a shot.
  18. I have been on the catfish spawn bite just a few times. I know it's usually around Memorial Day. I badly want to get my wife and kids in on it this year. I know they will have a blast! Anyway this year most of my tournaments are at Grand so I don't get to keep up on Stockton much. I was hoping some of you gentlemen could give me a heads up when they hit the rip rap around the bridges. We will be fishing from my boat. I figured they'd be up a little early this year so I'd appreciate any help!
  19. It is a bass tournament.
  20. I too like the taste of bass. Sometimes I fry crappie and bass at the same time and never notice which is which. I keep them out of a membership lake I belong to and some private ponds. Basically anything under 15" is in danger of hitting the frying pan depending on whether I feel like cleaning fish or not. At big lakes I never keep them since I tournament fish. Now if someone else wants to keep them and is doing it legally GOOD FOR THEM!That would be one of the reasons they are here. To be eaten. If I give up on tournament fishing one day I might start chopping their heads off too. These fish reproduce you know? Hence people have been keeping them for years and years yet our lakes are right now about as strong as they've ever been!
  21. Just wanted to give you guys a heads up about a tournament. It's being put on by the club I used to fish to raise money for the state team. It will launch on the south mutton ramp at safe light. As of right now that's all the info I have. I'll update more later. If anybody needs more specific details sooner than later let me know.
  22. I should have a 65lb available within the next month. It's still on my boat.
  23. The duckett will be lighter but the st. croix will be a better built rod. You might consider the Abu Garcia veritas or maybe the bps carbonlite. If you go Abu call the Tackle Trap. (256) 281-6160 They have about the best prices I've seen on most anything. They are closed on weekends.
  24. I will be there. I fished in the back of David's boat in my first ever club tournament. It's an honor to participate in the event and am grateful that people are willing to help out.
