  1. I'm putting one of the Dek-It mounts on the front of mine.
  2. I'd put either one of the Fann brothers up against any of them. They have a history of repeating themselves.
  3. Oh man I forgot Greg Hackney across from point 5 with a shakey head worm with his win during this same time of year. Just imagine what he could have done with the Ned rig. Mark Davis up the white river with a wiggle wart.......
  4. Remember when Gary Klein won the BASS event on Table Rock in 1996 throwing a stickbait up the James on gravel banks just inside the coves off of the channel bluff points. This could be the ticket. I'll go out on a limb and pick Gary Klein. He could repeat.
  5. I think that was brent long in long creek. It had good color all the way to 86 bridge.
  6. I'm betting it will be a tournament like the flw had a few years ago with Brent Ehler winning out of owl creek and Roger Sheffield taking second out of aunts creek. Grubs , sticks and cranks.
  7. Well I've got a little multi-color action on my boat numbers so you better watch out....I'll be locked up for terrorizing your town! Thinking about scratching out the gay bluebird off of my MO license plate as well and I can't see my chrome wheels when I'm sitting in my truck so I guess I should get rid of those and I might have a too much window tint on my windows.....
  8. Agreed....15 cent ugly butt numbers on a $50K bass boat. I'd take the warning/fine and the safety check.
  9. Another vote for iguana. He will make it look better than anything you will find around here and will meet legal requirements. Block form and CAPS.... proper spacing. You won't be disappointed.
  10. My guess is it was one of the old bridge pillars in front of the main bridge. They are both above the water line right now I believe. At 9:25pm I guess you could run into it if you don't know where you're at but there is dry land immediately on the other side. I was in there last Thursday and you wouldn't believe how many people were running out of the channel and through submerged stumps. There should be a bouy especially on the pillar on the south side.
  11. I'm going to punch the first person I hear complain about it being too hot this summer!
  12. You can bet I'll try it! Jika rigging the opposite side was a brilliant idea! Pm me when you head down to bull shoals and I'll tell you everything I know..granted it isn't much but I spend more time there than I do TR.
  13. Thanks...I really appreciate it. I actually just tried to buy them from the Hobby King website and shipping was going to be $40. Turns out they're in Hong Kong! I've never seen these pliers before. Again this is exactly why I love posting on here. Yeah I can't wait to spend some time in Barlows. Thanks for the help!!!
  14. Awesome....maybe Barlows has a pair. I'm heading to Dallas for the next three days and will stop in and see.
  15. Got a pic of the type you're talking about? Can they bend 0.045" wire easily?
  16. I'm going to try and find something so they won't be as time consuming to make. The only advantage I can see to bending the wire is it stiffens the wire which keeps the wires from flexing and tangling up on the others.
  17. As per Bill's instructions....I think. I used a grub and willow combination on the arms but could easily be changed out to a two willow combination. Going to try and find some tubing for blade/bait separation on the wires instead of making so many bends.
  18. Welcome to the TR forum Bodeknocker! I use 50lb Power Pro braid with an old school Abu Garcia 5500 C3 5.3:1 ratio.
  19. Nice Rigs! Where did you get the box?
  20. 7'6" medium heavy for me.
  21. This is the hook that I've been using to pour my jigs. Extra long shank and compares to the Mustad ultra point black nickel but softer and will bend out. I've been very impressed so far and a great price. http://www.captainhookswarehouse.com/index.cfm?page=detail&hookid=944&sizeid=24
  22. Sometimes simple is best...looks like a 3 wire flash mob jr. with no head.
  23. Thanks Bill! I'll make one up like you are talking about and post it on here in a few days for you and others to critique. If I ever see you on the water I'll give you one!
  24. LOL....I could fix you up. This is why I really like posting some of the baits I make on here. Getting a different perspective can make a huge difference.
  25. That's what I'm talking about!!! That will work! At least for a few weeks until they start suspending. That would be good to do on all the baits with no hooks to keep them from spinning through the water and not getting the full action of the paddle tail. I thought about taking those swivels off and just attaching those with hitchhikers directly to the bend in the wire to keep them from spinning through the water.
