  1. That's right. The problem I've been having is with sloooow rolling the a-rig right on the bottom my three with hooks are riding right on the bottom and I've been missing fish that I think are hitting the other two without hooks. I think the fish are just up off the bottom and slightly looking down on the rig when this happens. I haven't figured out how to correct this because to get the rig to run right all three with hooks will rotate down. I may start using small willow blades on the top two instead of the zoom swimmin flukes and maybe shorten those arms or just cut them off all together.
  2. Thanks! I just copied it because I really liked the looks of it. What I like about it is it's one wire connecting the two rigs together and not a snap and swivel that will hinge and cause it to get tangled up on itself. I think it should cast just as well as a standard 5 wire rig.
  3. I just made it up a few days ago after reading about several tournaments being won out east on the Blades of Glory. Thought I would give it a try!
  4. Thanks Bill, I appreciate that! Everything is done by hand with a pair of flat and round nose pliers. The head is poured with polyester resin, painted and sealed with epoxy. I've been contemplating using chrome on the head and tying a mouse colored skirt behind the head and using a brass/chrome willow like a War Eagle spinnerbait.
  5. My homemade versions.....Flash Mob and Blades of Glory copies.
  6. Zoom Old Monster Day- Green Pumpkin, Blue Fleck Night- Junebug red, Candy bug, Black emerald
  7. I love the molds! Great job! I need to move from the durhams water putty to the rtv silicone.
  8. 3d printing....now that's an idea! I have access to one of those and may actually have my own by the end of the year. Not sure about durability...mainly used for prototyping.
  9. It's a 200hp..full tank of gas, all gear and just me 69.5 gps. After the 8" rapid jack was put on the same load with just me I ran 72 gps. This summer it's getting a 225 hp Ecu. The 202 is an absolute dart. I'm hoping to make it at least a 275hp with a phase2 kit from Hydro tec.
  10. Thanks Champ! New boat prices passed up my teacher's salary a long time ago. I know I'd better take care of what I've got. I hope to find a good used hds 10 & 8 before long. I would also like to have Hydro tec unleash the beast in the yamaha.
  11. Thanks guys..it's a 1996 202 with an 05 HPDI. Jay Bird you got a great looking rig as well. I've been considering the bluewaters...they look great!
  12. Comfortroll and chrome gauge rings. Replaced the rite hite jackplate with a 8" Rapid Jack Magnum.
  13. An option for those that like to paint. I haven't tried any yet but would be interested in knowing how they run. http://www.shop.blankbaits.com/LOUD-Mid-Crank-325-Series.htm
  14. I've caught several on it but I use 12-15lb big game instead of 10lb. I really prefer the wee wart on 6lb test and a spinning rod. When they are really on the wart bite I'll have all three tied on.
  15. Kinda along the same lines as the Sebile swimmer. I should have passed on that one. I've never caught a fish on it and I thought it would work when the fin bite started.
  16. Everyone gets all hyped up about the wiggle warts now because of the price more than anything but I tell you what the old Rebel maxi, mini, and wee r's have at times out fished the wart especially when the water is colder. Super r is a great old bait as well.
  17. Believe it or not I honestly wouldn't sell them if someone offered me 10 times that amount. My wife would sell them for what she knows I gave for them which is $1- $2 each. I absolutely love old tackle including the old Bagley brass lures. Here's the warts I keep in the boat. The others I posted are what I keep on the shelf.
  18. This ^^^^ I just got through buying jumbo spools of 6 & 8lb tests at bass pro outlet for $14.99 a spool.
  19. 10lb trilene big game on a casting rod. 6lb bass pro excel on a spinning rod tossing a wiggle wart or wee wart works exceptionally well but check your line a lot more often for frays.

  21. What year and model Champ? 1976 tri-hull? I've never heard anyone make that bold of a comparison.
  22. Sorry... I've got a hoarder mentality when it comes to fishing lures.
  23. Sorry just had to fan the flame...
  24. Happy birthday! I always look forward to your reports. Thanks for getting me started in the right direction by sharing your dropshot setup. I hope I can hire you as a guide in the future.
