Proper Dynamite technique is this. Hook a 4 to 6 inch bait in tail. toss out gently and let bait swim away from boat. If bait slows down Lift rod tip to make bait go nuts... If no bite after 5 minutes reel in and repeat. Secondary explosive it to nose hook them and let them out about 100 ft and let that one swim around while you are using the first one. Sooner or later one of the two will explode and bring a striper floating up.

I can text lol... No they wont be on top water but just below it. I like to freeline bait at a couple spots and they usually produce right below the surface. Still see the bite but its not true top-water maybe 1 to 2 feet below.

Well I will say this if you want stripers its time to head to the clear end of the lake. Im thinking about early morning run to the dam area myself on Saturday Now that I know they were between 5 and 6 they will be from Starky to Indian Creek for sure with these temps and I know a couple spots to pick them off early. Its a 5am till 10 am then off the water type deal before the hatch happens and heat.

Julie from the burbs buys some shiney new shoes she pays tax! ) Everyone pays and they are the judge of how much they pay buy their spending habits. Now the Government would have to have a FISCAL cut off for the Budget based off tax revenue so Say January first is the cut off then they must know how much in taxes was collected from the previous year and then be given to ( Just for spite April15th ) to have the new approved budget or all sanctions kick in for not having one. As to other moneys for parks and forrest roads etc. That's part of the budget but require a Daily or Annually fee for the use of them. National Wildlife refuges in some cases already do that but the exception is if you have a Federal Duck Stamp then you get in without a daily fee. I suggest Programs like that for all federal land. Roads are easy as well in a simple percentage tax on gas. There are many ways the government can be ran like a business. This is one time I can say watching TV teaches you something. That little TV on our boats the more you watch it the more you learn. Then learning the seasonal patterns of the lake and how the fish react to them or more specifically how the bait does will put more fish on the deck. Its fun being able to go out at will and catch a bunch of fish... So the question is... HEY DOC IS 300 fish a day possible with what you have learned so far????

Pic 1 through 3 Possibly striper or Gar. Pic 4 stripers thats how i see them often and confirm it with Cam or fish on. Pic 5 Bait being ate my bet would be by whites or bass as there is not a heavy enough line to be stripers. The rest appear to be clutter could be from numerous reasons. If it was right before dusk it could be small bait and fry coming off the bottom i see that a lot right at dusk.

Fixing the problems with this country is not that hard to do at all. Problem is those in charge do not want to fix them as it is not in their interest and that is the truth. Dem, Rep or Ind it is not in their best interest. How do you solve it is simple though. 1. Impose term limits of no more that 2 terms for all politicians ( this also means they are given no pension no life time medical none of the current perks they are there to serve us and it should be voluntary, granted they need pay for it but when they are out that is it ) 2. Balanced Budget law that has automatic penalties for not having one A. immediate suspension of pay to all politicians that will not be reimbursed B. all non-essential personal laid off until one is in place C. all spending for all programs suspended. ( Basically it shuts down all spending until a budget is in place) 3. Abolish the IRS and install in its place a flat tax on all goods and services minus groceries ( it doesn't matter what product or service you are using it all has the same amount taxed off it ) 4. Cease all foreign aid to any country that does not have A DEMOCRATICALLY elected government and NO aid to any nation that is known to have/ support or aid Terrorist activities. 6. Abolish Obamacare 7. Create a constitutional amendment that no law effecting the entire populous cannot be passed without an vote by the populous. 8. Place sever restrictions on government aid / entitlements first off anyone who is not ( medically of mentally disabled ) will only be allowed to be on said program for a term not more than 1 year. And to be on the aid they must be Drug Screened at random, they must show proof they are searching for employment and after employment the aid will be cut. The only way to maintain aid after employment is to be continuing education and aid will only last no more than 4 years or for the time period they are in school. There are a few more ideas but doing those things will stop a lot of the Bull. But like I said not in the politicians interest.

Depending on work load and family obliterations ooppss obligations I average about 180 days a year on the lake some of those trips are maybe 2 hours some 16 hours and then there is my roaming office that allows me to add another 20 to 30 days at the various ramps doing paperwork so i get to see where others are. Tack on e-mails, phone calls and dirty text pictures and I keep up on the lake pretty close. I tell people if they want stripers they are not hard to find just go out early and look for all the center consule boats with (STRIPER GUIDE) on them. Give them space but those guides are usually on active fish. when they leave and pull the rest of the boats with them. That is whem it can get real good.

( IF ) he gets a ticket, then he wil have his day in court or pay the fine. Thats justice! This site is full of people who love fish and hate poaching as do most hunting fishing sites. This is the turf of a minority of the population with the vast majority of the population if they read this saying "" so what its a fish and he ate it big deal "" Education as to why it is wrong would seem prudent on our parts when talking to people who do not fish or do it very infrequently. My best guess would be this guy new he was doing an illegal activity and diserves a stiff fine and revoking his license for a period of time. But will he really get a citation? If i was the Warden and he didnt admit to it I would not write it. Presure from a bunch of internet fishermen is not evidence and would be tossed out in court. But I would certainly be keeping an eye on this guy and contact local outfitters and ask them to contact me if he is spotted. Sooner or later I would catch him doing it red-handed and then he would not get a ticket but the bracelets. Now what could we as a group do. Go to meetings and press for stiffer fines and penalties so when someone does break the law its not a slap on the wrist.

It is a large excel form with drop down formula boxes so I can eleminate as many factors as possible. I can pull up by day by year then by weather condition then by temp etc etc and draw a conclusion as to where and what depth the fish will be on and even the top 10 possible baits to use. After 2 years patterns develope after multiple years though clear patterns show. The Old saltwater fishermen in me guards them tighter than I would my wife and only slightly less than my dog lol. When i took people on the Salt I actually did a gear and person search for GPS stuff. Saltwater numbers are guarded closer than the gold in Knox. lol

Its a complicated beast but with years of paying attentio to it you will know where to go at each generation by its volum and durration schedule.

Hey Al, I have an idea, How about you take on Painting the Fiberglass mounts? I know what your saying about the taxidermist paintings but they are not a artist like you. But I have to ask, can you put the same beauty on a fiberglass mount you do a canvas as its two different materials? Im not painter so I don't know about materials to paint on.

Quitting hunting or fishing because of poachers is ridiculous. Might as well stop owning a house because there are thieves out there. Instead of sticking your head in the ground get out there and when you see these thieves and rapist of our resource get them on your phones video and turn them in. One thing is for certain MDOC along with all other DNR's is severely understaffed in the enforcement end. They need our help and the days of no tattling on others is over. You see someone breaking the law turn them in and then follow through with making sure something happened be it an investigation or even prosecution. When people start turning in these unsafe boaters and poachers with cell phone video it will start making a difference.

Been working on it for a few weeks, My logs are on excel and as I wrote it I kept finding more and more patterns to beaver lake that proved true. the original post was 3 times the size but I scaled it back to what I hope will be the best information to help people put fish in the boat. Its neat having the logs and being able to cross reference them over thousands of days of fishing to see there are very unmistakable patterns and places year in and year out based of the parameters I placed in the log.

When I troll im using baits that I know the depths they work at straight line to bait .

Perch is a generic for all the sunfish family for what i was writing... but I wouldnt take them out of your box I have caught walleye and Striper on pearch pattern baits.

OTF, What about use of a Guide so you don't have to spend the money on gear you wont use often? The spinning gear option is a good one as well, Not knowing the crowds If they are bad I would think about spooling a spinner with 50lb braid and use 30 to 80 lb floro.
