  1. Nathan I can teach a person to throw a net pretty fast if you are interested.
  2. 6'2 whats she look like ? Na Nathans problem is sensory overload or is it technique overloads lol.
  3. NO. the backstrap is just like a deer is the best way to compare. if you try for the belly meat then yes you will have a few bones but not on the strap.
  4. First throw is the key after that you might as well pack it up, also problem is with Grand being off-limits more and more people are running over old go to spots and making harder and harder to get. If you find a spot do not tell anyone in fact learn how to crouch cast the net to not draw attention to yourself.
  5. Told ya I did.... plastic nanner stuck up by the front of your gas tank....
  6. First a question and comment... ARE YOU CRAZY that electrical storm was insane. Next im jealous of that nice mess way to go.
  7. Psssttttt its called enforcement of the LAWS on the books currently not adding new ones but actual enforcement of the current ones.
  8. I have cooked them by the following methods Fried BBQ Baked Smoked Patty Crock Pot Boiled They are an incredibly good eating fish, for grilling a cedar board is impossible to beat with some fresh garden veggies. If the word of how good they are those poor things would be in deep trouble. Luckily no one wants to believe you when you say they are good.
  9. Hmmmmmmm, I think I could arrange to be a tender boat that would solve the bait holding issue Yak, meet at Prairie Creek and we tow your yak get bait and then get at it.
  10. Go for it spanky but I think you will find you have the same issues on any site you want to create and "proper censors mediators" tend to piss off outdoorsmen. But go ahead and start your little duplication. At least then we don't have to listen to you bitch about our bitching.
  11. Nice fish nicer dinner.
  12. Why not a lady is sueing Home Depot over a death from the Joplin Tornado.
  13. Drifting is just that drifting with current or wind under no power from the boat at all. so speed can vary a lot. Keith im opening in the morning so swing by and say hi.
  14. Exactly on Chilly. the fish go where it is comfy to them. when you look at a good graph and see fish stacked at 20fow and then get out to 40 and see the thermocline you see the comfy zone. well a hooked bait will want to be there even more as they are already not comfy,
  15. Did he tell because I know you wernt in on that FB conversation... though I think we made poor doc sick as he was working and the rest of us were group chatting about fishing.
  16. Good luck and watch out for Bears and remember your pepper spray.
  17. I gave him a solution for it,
  18. There is only one Jet Skier on Beaver Lake I Like..... I wont say anything to revealing but there is not much left to reveal if you get my drift... Typically seen around 12 bridge and Beaver Shores on weekdays afternoons
  19. Na I have on more than one occasion had a striper hit the side of the boat chasing a shad. they are like women in a shoe sale and get target fixation or like walmart shoppers on black Friday
  20. More than two rods can be interesting to do that I would use the balloon on the clothes pin to help keep that from happening or Planer Boards. Running 4 rods I assume you would do the first two freelined as I talked about and the other two set at 125 and 150 behind the boat with the bait one split shotted at 75ft from the balloon or planer or and one at 25 ft. and watch them carefully.
  21. And remember check here often I am constantly updating it.
  22. A lot of what you are looking for is here Though its in the Beaver forum there is tips and tricks from other forums on the board that can be helpful
  23. Keep in mind this is for live bait on Beaver Lake other bodies of water may have different laws. First transporting bait out of Missouri Live bait taken from public waters of Missouri may not be sold or transported from the state. http://mdc.mo.gov/fishing/fishing-regulations/live-bait-regulations Live Bait from Grand Lake Oklahoma See page 37 http://www.wildlifedepartment.com/laws_regs/fish1415.pdf Arkansas Game and Fish Bait regulations Pages 30 and 31 http://www.agfc.com/resources/Guidebookdocs/FishingGuidebook.pdf If you have questions I will try to answer them tonight I will be at the store 3:30 to close tonight so you can also come by and ill try to answer questions. Or you can always call AGFC if you don't understand the regs above.
  24. Ok to save Keiths thread I will start a new one so hold on 5 minutes maybe 10.
  25. No that is me directly targeting stripers.... Only time I go with C-Rig baits is when its very windy, I prefer the bait to look as natural as possible and swim as free as possible also why I use 10 and 12lb lines. In the clear water of the dam area a bait 50ft back will swim down toward the thermocline which is about 22 to 27 ft right now.. guess what else is there? The split shot bait will also do it but give off a ton of vibration struggling to swim and that gets attention and finally that clear water a Fish will see a long way so even a bait that's swimming 10ft deep will be targeted and better yet when it is it will swim to surface. Now I have seen guys think something is wrong when they do that and reel them in MISTAKE it did that because something was wanting to eat it and scared it up.
