I would wade the riffles and make a few good drifts in the seams and behind structure. Then toss streamers in the pools. Good Luck! -
Floated from Kelly to Blair yesterday (DEC. 1st). It was my first time floating that stretch. Had a blast even though there was some rough wind at times! Managed to land several with eggs, hares ear, and rubber legs. With the fish pictured being the Icing on the cake! Water is low but easily floated for jons and canoes, you would have to be careful in a drift boat.

Walking the banks of Crane Creek I notice that I don't see as many fish as I usually do darting back and forth. Anybody else notice this?

Crane is fishing very hard, the water is very low similar to what was seen during July and August. Attractors and Hare's Ears working when you manage to put the sneak on these spooky fish. I hope we can get some rain soon to carry this fishery through the summer.

Nah, was not me thank goodness. However It was found just a couple of days later. I still can not catch a bass on the fly in the James! only bluegill. -
FISH Karma! The monster will be mine! lol. If there's a next time, and there will be, I will try the snatch method. However, pushing it through was not that bad. I would do it again. I think that I will start crimping those big barbs though!
