Yea Tim it was great everyone got a new 6'6" Falcon Rod and 6 Custom Painted stickbaits just for coming out to listen to Bill talk. It was real sweet. I think Phil recorded it so you will at least get to hear it but you miss the giveaways.
Respect is earned and maybe these guys need a new lesson. I worked the 2000 Bass Masters Classic in Chicago running the Pro's around to the Ramp in Alsip and the Ramp in Chicago and enjoyed the company of some great Pro's and talked to many and they all were pretty good people. Perhaps times have changed now. No way and I gonna spend $20.00 for a Crankbait and I think the world of Bass Fishing has brought us these prices because people will pay them. It doesn't matter if the are a great bait and work amazingly well. They made them for about $1.50 in China so look at the mark up.
Short of finding something that only Kills Asian Carp this fish will get to the Great Lakes. It is sad to say but I don't see anything stopping it only slowing it down. They need to find something that will make it unable to reproduce.
Well if the weather would give me a break I would take a run to Joplin and see what this is all about. I am not going to go when we getting all this snow and rain though.
I used to have a wooden plug with no hooks that I made for practice casting in the yard. I would through it out and try to hit spots around the yard. One day my Keeshond was out and I through a cast and he grabbed it and the fight was on. Has anyone else ever landed a 40lb. Keeshond on 17lb. Trilene XT. That little dog put up a good fight.
Welcome to Ozark Anglers Tim. I am sure that the Bull Shoals Thread can use your expertise with the ways of Smallmouth, Largemouth and Walleye's. Thanks for joining the Ozark Anglers Forum.
I was just looking at the new or at least I guess it is new BPS Carbonlite Reel. They are $119.00 and weigh in at 6.7oz. with 7 ball bearings. I saw it on the back of the Spring Tackle Catalog I got in the mail the other day. They have a Carbon Fiber Rod to go with it and the combo goes for $179.00. I wonder how that Carbon Fiber Rod would feel.
I do like the BPS Extreme Rods for the money they are light a sensitive. If you get a Spinning Rod look at the BPS Pro Qualifier Reels as I have a couple and am very impressed with them.
Welcome Scott! I went through International Falls a couple times and every time I did I saw people in groups standing outside the bars drinking and have a great time. Passing those memories down to the kids will be great and then having a place on Table Rock for them to come down to will be even better. Then taking your Grandson White Bass fishing has got to be awesome.
Jessary, It is on a Tuesday Evening not on the weekend.
Wayne, Come on out it is a big room and should be plenty of seats. Will be a great show for sure.
Do you loan out them buckets or should I just dig holes in the snow mounds along the driveway. I wish I could have taken video of you practicing "Boso Buckets" in the front yard.
Jaco Marine 931-762-6710 in Tenn. cal Barbara Jaco or Marine Works in Kentucky call John Webb at 859-509-6660. I think John Webb will take the best care of you. Tell him Gary Lange said to call.
No way am I gonna pay $21.00 for a bait I don't care how good someone says they are. It costs them at the most maybe $2.00 to $3.00 to make it so I am not buy them new Ranger boat which they gonna get with the profits.
Seems like the BPS Stick-o's hold up better then the Yamamoto Senko's also. That was the way I saw it fishing them up north on the rivers and down here on the lake.
It needs to get setup and dated and timed within a reasonable time so that those that might be interested can make plans. You can set it up a week in advance and expect people to show.
