  1. Cool, but I only hear you talk about the one. What did you do, pimp the other 2 out to the Amish?
  2. Well if it is warranty work then that is 100% justified. Doesn't make it illegal to work on it, but it does release them from any warranty obligation.
  3. Since they've made it illegal to deal with things myself..... I'm forced to agree. How sweet would it be if I could make it illegal for anyone but me to touch your boat with a tool? I promise you, I'm capable of doing everything a cop can do. All I need is the legal permission to do it.
  4. You're not making any enemies here man, please let'er rip. If I'm a problem to society then I need to know. Not sure how I could be though, because I'm one law abiding SOB. I'm not bothering anyone or causing any distress to anyone whatsoever, pay all my taxes, and raise my kids right. Please enlighten me on how my thoughts and actions are making the world a bad place.
  5. I do too, that's why I did that one first 😅 I'm keeping it awhile, I have plans for it.
  6. I think it's pretty obvious. If you haven't harmed anyone or damaged anyones property, and nobody has specifically filed a legitimate complaint against you, then there should be no reason for the police to do anything except smile and wave at you. I'm perfectly ok with genuine traffic violations and stiff fines for not abiding.
  7. Correct. I want them to just sit somewhere comfortable and eat donuts until someone calls and specifically requests their help. Stop running around looking for people to arrest or extract funds from for petty crap that doesn't effect anyone's safety, or protect anyone's property. If there are SO MANY REAL DANGEROUS CRIMINALS out there, then they shouldn't even have time to pull that kinda crap.
  8. Well, the completed one (brother) is a 1975 The one I haven't started yet (sister) is a 1976 😊 You didn't comprehend right. Those aren't before/after pics.
  9. Going back to the defunding conversation... I think maybe I would be for the defunding of the Minneapolis PD (alone), at least until they can produce some evidence of Mr. Floyd's involvement in the producing of counterfeit money. I mean, let's at least verify that the initial stop and search was justified and legit. Don't ya think?
  10. Nobody knew if there was anyone in the boat. And I knew that they SAID the breaker had been flipped. I didn't even know where the breaker was located so I couldn't confirm. And there wasn't time to go looking for it anyway. Which brings up curiosity about why cops immediately start bombarding suspects with questions. As if they are going to believe the answers they are given anyway. What's the point of that? I actually know why, just checking to see if you do. 😊 I have a follow-up quiz if you do.
  11. There was no predictability. I had never been on that boat before. Had no idea what active circuits were running. All I knew was that Auto bilge switches are SUPPOSED to be in the lowest area of the bilge. And no they never covered that situation at MMI, so no "training" for that one. 100% self taught. Equal? Not hardly bro. There's no reasoning or negotiating with a boat. It doesn't respond to a tazer much.
  12. I got called to Beauty View docks (huge connected double dock with 35-40 boats moored in it, and a gas pump at one end), one of the big cruisers had ruptured a fuel tank and the auto bilge was pumping raw fuel onto the water....and I mean LOTS of it. The slick was encompassing the entire dock complex. The water patrol and first responders had the owners kill the electricity to all surrounding docks. I went onboard the troublesome vessel and stopped the bilge. When filling out their report they asked me...."You just went onboard and disconnected the battery, right?" I said...Is that what you would have done? The fire chief said, yeah I suppose. I said....Good thing you called me! 😲
  13. It's all good. I can successfully reform what's black and won't work. (Don't go there!).
  14. That's what I'm talking about! 😂 And thank you for yours! Sitting on all that cash day after day. Very high risk.
  15. Neither do cops. I have guys bringing in strange and very powerful things, and they always have "something wrong" with them. I never know what I'm getting into. The bilge could be full of fuel, with bare hot wires dangling all about. I never know what condition these POS are in when I begin. Spend some time with me and I bet you'll be surprised how many literal BOMBS I defuse on a monthly basis. *Yeah Wrench, but do you save lives, besides your own?* You darn right I do. And many times I don't even get paid for it. Not joking one bit. Those dangerous criminals you are referring to are OUT THERE. Cops aren't the only ones that come into contact with them.....we all do. And the penalty for killing one of us is way less.
  16. So do Truckers, Construction workers, Marine mechanics and garage door salesmen. I know quite a few LEO's, and have observed even more, and so far I have been less than impressed by their incredible bravery. A Pekinese can shake up up pretty good. 😂 If they die in the line of duty it's because they made a mistake or a bad judgement call. Any of us working guys can get killed if we screw up.
  17. In order to truly learn all there is to know about something, you have to enjoy it, so that you WANT to learn. Or, you have to be put in a situation where you must know it in order to save yourself. But....You don't have to experience a sledgehammer dropped on your foot, and understand the way your nerves work, to know that it's gonna hurt. 😂
  18. Off colored and the level is falling slowly. Thick mats of debris in the backends. If you like Froggin' and pitching big fat creature baits you're gonna have a blast.
  19. It quit running back in early '90's and had set in a shed since then. Everything rubber needed replaced, the gears and shafts we're all fine, and the piston rings were kinda sticky. A quick parts availability search indicated that everything I would likely need to refresh the entire motor was still available (surprisingly) so since the guy had titles for them I bought it and it's sisterfor next to nothing. Tore one down completely, ordered all the parts (new piston rings, seals, diaphragms, water pump, ects.) gave the cylinders a fresh honing, reassembled, tuned, and painted. Good as new. 2 pulls on a cold start....half a pull the rest of the day. 👍 I'll start on his sister after July 4th. 😊
  20. What was Old is now New again 😇 1975 was a good year Ready to challenge any brand new 4-stroke. 😁

  22. Well thanks for saying it out loud. 😊
  23. Surely you don't believe that if everyone was educated equally they'd all feel the same way about a given issue?
  24. That's a very "outside looking in" statement. What you are calling the "truly good LEO's" have a hiccup. In every department the good cops know who the jackasses in their department are, yet they cover for them, and do nothing to get them corrected or removed. Whether out of loyalty, or just because they don't wanna stir crap in the department. If there were truly some honest to goodness GOOD (oath abiding) COPS....then a bad one wouldn't last 2 weeks on the job. Ever! I also have to roll my eyes everytime I hear you say "they put their life on the line everyday". That's BS. They have all the coolest toys, have immediate access to as much backup as they need before advancing on anyone, and unless they slept through training they know the best and SAFEST way to handle every situation. Plus, if you scare them they can just kill you. I mean c'mon.... A job driving a truck, a job working on machinery, a job mowing lawns, or a job at a convenience store... is 100 times more dangerous than being a cop. I'm not sure what "defunding" means in that instance, but I'm pretty sick of the M.O. of most all city and county law enforcement agencies. I dislike the way they actively look for someone to arrest for any reason. It's obvious to me that they are being trained and hired to fill the courtrooms Monday thru Friday every week, all year long. Of course every community needs law enforcement, but that doesn't justify quotas and standing room only court rooms 5 days a week. Especially if they are already receiving funding from other avenues. I'd be afraid that "defunding" is just going to make them even MORE greedy for YOUR dollars. It certainly isn't going to make police harrassment LESS. Everyone should have already learned that the way to be LEFT ALONE by the police is to FEED THEM WELL beforehand. 🙄 If George Floyd delivered pies to the justice center every other Tuesday, he'd not only still be alive, he would have been able to say "What? A counterfeit $20 ? Where the hell did THAT come from?" And they'd be actively looking for who actually printed it. 😉 But nope, I'm betting there's no ongoing investigation on the maker of the alleged fake dough. Find some evidence that Floyd was involved in counterfeiting cash.....and all this crap would be over.
