  1. I made it out for a few hours this afternoon. I had been doing good on jerk baits but couldn't get bit on one today. Ended up catching 1 bass about 2 1/2 lb on a crank bait. Also got 10 crappie that were suspended around cedar tree. Not much help but best I could come up with this afternoon.
  2. May go out later today if I do will let you know how I do.
  3. Well if I like it I hope I can still find it. I got it at the store in Olathe, I had to go up that way today so thought I would hit some of the spring classic specials.
  4. I caught one of them Walleye eating musky the other day only about 15" long thought about shipping in back up north where it belongs ?
  5. 1/32 - 1/16 oz jig head with shad colored tube or Bobby Garland vertical jigged over and in brush piles in 15-25 fow will catch you crappie all summer long on Pomme. You may have to hit several piles to get on a hot one but you will find one. Right now they seem to be more on standing timber in around 20 fow. Good luck to ya.
  6. I have caught 2 nice walleye in the last week on channel swing points while bass fishing with jerkbaits one was 22 1/2" the other around 18". Caught a limit of crappie the last 2 times out, they were around cedar tree in 18 fow but they were suspended at around 5-6'. Caught several between 11"-12". Good luck hope this helps. I have been fishing the lower Pomme arm.
  7. I was around the Hermitage and Pittsburgh ramp areas.
  8. I just bought some clear florescent in 12 and 15 today at Bass Pro. Never used it before but wanted to give it a try. Now I will probably like it and won't be able to get it lol.
  9. I was just wondering I was fishing the point at the mouth of the cove and thought it might have been you.
  10. Speaking of Pittsburgh ramp were you there around noon today panfisher. You said that you had a red f150 and seen one there today checking out the lake just wondered if it was you.
  11. Braved the wind for a few hours around mid day. Only 3 bass and 1 walleye on the jerkbait. Was hoping the sun would come out would have made it better. The crappie were still on the same tree as the other day and managed to put 15 of them in the livewell.
  12. Good luck with your knee and your fishing when you get there. Looking forward to your report to see how you do.
  13. I would have to agree that Lightfoot would be a lot more protected. And it has everything shallow in the back of both arms of the cove and it is around 40 feet deep in the middle of memory serves me correctly. Plus it seems to always hold bait fish.
  14. I would second what panfisher said. There are quite a few brush piles in that cove and we caught quite a few Crappie in there last year.
  15. It was on TV after the show. One of the boat officials while driving to the ramp rear ended one of the other boats and tore the motor off of it.
  16. If I remember correctly marine cranking amps are figured at 32° and cold cranking amps are figured at 0°.
  17. I haven't been out since the cold snap had other things that needed done. But I'm sure that it will mess with them. Would be just fine with me if it would stay warm and bring the water temperature up to about 55°.
  18. The crappie were all in one tree top in 18 fow but they were only down 4-5 ft. Probably caught 30 off that one tree but about half were only 8". About half the keepers were around 9 1/2" the rest were 10 1/2" to 14".
  19. Was hopping around the lower Pomme arm.
  20. Put in around 12:30 fished till about 5:00 ended up with 12 bass 9 keepers 3 shorts all on jerkbait on secondary points in 8-15 fow. Best 5 would have went little over 15 lbs. Also managed to catch a limit of crappie on 1/24 oz. Bobby Garland shad colored. Water temperature from 49.2 - 52.3. Shure hate to see the temperature drop this weekend.
  21. No my brother-in-law was fishing with me, the picture of 2 fish was a double that we caught. A question for you is this this Mike? If so welcome my friend. Here is the brother-in-law.
  22. Wondering if anyone fished it or know the results of Sundays tournament. We fished some Saturday and Sunday with fair results Saturday but struggled finding them Sunday. Saturday fished probably 3 hours or so in the afternoon only managed 4 on jerk bait but all were over 3 lbs. They all came off main lake points with wind, fish were probably in 6-8 fow with deep water close by.
  23. Lol, they haven't gotten any Rapalas from me, but have gotten more than their share of pop-r's and rattle traps. If one of them toothy critters did eat her I hope he choked.
  24. I know panfisher, that's why I turned her loose. I'm pretty sure it's the only walleye that exists in Pomme.
