  1. Fished at the dam in Jolly Mills and they were biting. Caught several nice rainbows from the dam.
  2. I'm making a day trip to Rockaway Beach for a couple hours fishing. Got Cabin fever bad and need to wet a line for a while. Never been there and wondering about fishing from the dock. I'm use to fishing Powerball eggs with #14 hooks, two lb line at Roaring River, Jolly Mills and Hickery Creek in Neosho. I could use some good advise about fishing at Rockaway Beach. Thanks for looking
  3. I use these hooks with powerbait eggs with good luck. http://www.fishusa.com/Dai-Riki-135-Scud-Hook_p.html I use a bb shot about 18 inch to 2 foot above the hook. For me smaller is better for hooks. You can hide the hook inside the egg.
  4. Its been a lot of years since I fished Mcdaniel. I use to walk the bank on the west side and catch lots of good bass with spinner and busbaits. I always wanted to fish north of the bridge since there has to be some monster bass.
  5. Wife and I were headed into Neosho for shopping yesterday and I made a short stop at Hickory Creek. I caught 6 in a short section using my spinning rod, 2 lb Max and red san juan worm and bb shot about 15 inch above the worm.
  6. I went late yesterday and caught several rainbows at the dam. Tim have you ever fished above the dam?
  7. Water came up a foot last night and is muddy, muddy Tim
  8. I went to Hickory Creek late yesterday afternoon for a little CR. Caught about a dozen all under 10 inchs and looked like they were starved. I don't know who stocked them but they sure are poor looking trout. Enjoyed catching and releasing them.
  9. There sure hasn't been enough water in Hickory creek this summer for fish. Its looking better but lots more water is needed.
  10. Fishing with Powerbait eggs working well this morning. Thanks Tim for getting the small hooks for me.
  11. I went to Capps creek later in the day. Several worm fishers around darn. I caught one nice trout and turned it loose. Water looks much better than last time I was there.
  12. Got down to RR about 9am and it was cool and a most pleasant morning. Fish were easy to come by. Not many fishermen and a real nice morning.
  13. Its got to cool off before I will fish it also
  14. Wondering how much water is left at Jolly Mill. Anyone been there?
  15. cancelled post
  16. The last couple weeks I have been catching quite a few rainbow's in the dam area. Not seen many fishing during the week.
  17. Your welcome. I myself have caught several 8 lbs and many 7 lbs bass in Big M cove several years ago.
  18. You might try the rock ledges in the back of Big M cove with jig and pig. Lots of large bass have been caught there.
  19. Put that phone no in my cell and will. I was at Capps creek this moring and caught several fishing from the dam. I had one good one on and knot broke at hook, didn't get to see how big its was but it was heavier than anything I have caught before there.
  20. I saw quite a few trout at the north end handicap fishing area. I think Neosho is stocking hickory creek or they did last month.
  21. They stocked hickory creek on friday afternoon, Went by several times on Sat and Sunday at the low water bridge and saw no fishermen just swimers. Monday no fish to be seen in the low water bridge area. I believe someone is netting them
  22. Went to Jolly Mill this morning and fished before the snakes came out. Caught 4 small rainbows below the dam and turned them loose and came home. It was nice and tried out a new rod. A 5'6" Dawa Aird spinning rod and really like it.
  23. It was nice to meet you all. Its always good to put faces with handles.
