I was up today and caught a 19 inch walleye in about 12 feet of water at the mouth of Maze. Also ended up with about a dozen bass with four of those as keepers. Headed up tomorrow and will try the other side of the lake. I did talk to a gentleman at Cedar Ridge and he was catching white bass on the bottom in 55 feet of water and he found his Crappie in 44 feet of water. The Crappie he had were all real nice 13 inch slabs.. Tight Lines !

Spent yesterday out of Mutton Creek and had a pretty productive day in the drizzle. Bass fishing all day but ended up catching just about every species in the lake on spinnerbaits, jigs and crank baits. Ended up with 18 bass with only 3 keepers, 1 each of bluegill, catfish, drum, walleye and crappie. I also got into the whites big time at the mouth of Googer around 4:00. They we're schooling everywhere and the dozen or so I caught were all nice 2# fighters. Tight Lines!!

Last year I was able to call a phone number and get an Army Corps of Engineers pass to use up at Roark Bluff. Does anybody have that phone number where I can get that annual pass? Thanks so much!

I was up yesterday and since we couldn't find many bass we tried for the crappie. We found some nice slabs, believe it or not, in 2 to 4 feet of water on stumps. Couldn't believe they were that shallow!! Tons of shad that shallow and the crappie were right there with them. Tight Lines!

Nice job Dutch!!!!!

Pretty good day on the water, 30+ with about 13#'s with 5 keepers including this 3.6 smallie. Out of Mutton about 7 and spent the day between Mutton and the Big Sac. It was a real junkyard day: crankbaits, spinnerbaits, jigs, swimbaits and creaturebaits all seemed to catch fish. Also had a 4#+ large-mouth. They are all getting ready to go, it should really take off next week!! Tight Lines!

You are the MAN!

Out of Cedar Ridge around 8, ended up with about 30 including these girls.....5.3 & 6.9. Jig's, blade's and creaturebaits. Water south of the ramp was 47 to 50. Tight Lines.

Good to see you today ?! I ended up with 9, 3 average keepers. However after you headed back up river I found the whites, boy did I find them!!!! I caught 17 in almost as many casts. HUGE ones, 2 to 3 pounds and fighting hard!!! I kept 10 of the big ones hoping to give them them to someone on the water but never did see another boat so I sent them swimming.

Hammer, I'm thinking of going out of Mutton tomorrow, care to meet me? I plan on launching around 10ish.

Not so easy yesterday Hammer. We were so high up and centered on the tree that forward or reverse did nothing, it was like the perfect balance out of water....even if we put weight in the front or back of the boat. We ended up dropping the trolling motor, put her on high and then pushed the bow left & right until FINALLY the boat slid off the tree. It was weird because we weren't going fast at all, just the right speed to high center. Sure wish someone had a camera in another boat and took a photo of us floundering around in the water, on top of the tree. :-)

Looks like there are as many bad reviews as good???

Yeppers, she had a full belly and was looking for warmer conditions,,,,,,,kind of like me! :-)

Well from my front deck the bite did slow way down from what it had been. Put in @ Roark about 9 and fished till 5 on a pretty raw and windy day. We ended up with about 30 but they were very scattered and for us hard to come by with any consistent pattern or area. I think we only had 3 keepers but this 5.2 made the day all worth while. The water temps were 48 to 52. I had 2 firsts happen yesterday: Austin actually snagged a fish in the tail with a shakey-head and we ended up stuck on top of a big submerged tree and thought we were going to have to find somebody to pull us off. However after enough thrashing back and forth at a 45 degree angle we finally slid off the tree with nothing more than some new scratches on the bottom of the boat. I do have to tell you it's a pretty funny feeling being stuck like that and no one in sight............. Tight Lines!

I see frozen guides in your future! ??

I'm going cause I think they will still be biting, just don't know if I can stay warm enough.......at least before noon. :-)

I have caught more Kentucky's this year up at Stockton than ever. I remember fishing the bridge pilings up @ Twin Bridges this past fall and I must have caught 20 small Kentucky's on 30 casts, all were small in the 8 to 12 inch range but they were stacked on those pilings. However this spring out of 100 fish I bet less than 5% were Kentucky's. It will be interesting to see if they drop the size limit on them to 12"......which I strongly support. I'm thinking 12' Spots would be tasty in some hot oil! :-) Now where did that warm weather go? Tight Lines!

My guess would be 1/4 to 1/2 mile below the bridge......at least in Maze

Good Morning, put back in at Roark about 6:30 and fished till 3:30. We must have had 25ish but unlike last week we had a number (10?) of keepers in the 2 to 3 pound range. Fished only in Son's west of the bridge and most were on the jig in 12" to 8' range. We also caught a few on a spinner-bait and creature-baits. Water temps started out @ 49 and by the afternoon we found 53. It seems to have slowed down from last week but the size of bass were up. My guess is that most all the fish we caught were males cruising the bank. I'll bet Saturday puts the breaks on things. :-) Tight Lines All!

Great job Hammer!!

Atta boy!!

I guess we did catch a number of them on the Ned too. I didn't throw it but my partner did.

Out of Roark Bluff about 9 and fished till 5. Stayed west of the bridge all day. We didn't have any snow but plenty of drizzle and some fairly stiff winds for a while. Ended up with 75 bass and this nice walleye. Jerkbaits, crankbaits, jigs and shakey-heads worked for us. Half the fish came off a 100 yard stretch, it was pretty awesome!! Hard to believe that the fish are so shallow and so active in 44 to 47 degree water. Tight Lines!!
