  1. Actually my wife is encouraging me to go buy a new boat but I’m afraid I won’t have the same mojo on a different boat. 🙂
  2. The high output stater is supposed to be tested tomorrow. But I’m about at my wits end because I’ve asked for that for four days now.
  3. I’m sure the fish are thankful but it’s killing me! For a guy who normally gets on the water two or three days a week it’s beginning to drive me batty ......and my wife! 🤪
  4. Thanks so very much everyone, I hope to get this figured out today or take it to a different mechanic..... this should not be as difficult as it’s become. 😩
  5. Please provide the serial number of your motor. Might be able to help but need to know what we're talking about first.... Steve, here is the serial number on that fuel injected engine, 150 horse Merc. 0G201272 I’ve been out in Colorado all week so I’ve not been able to get that information to you sooner. Appreciate any help you think you might be able to give me.
  6. So the mechanic I’m using has had my boat for six days now and can’t figure out what’s going on, thought I would check with this knowledgeable group of folks. The issue I’m having is that when I go to put the throttle down it will only go to about 2000 RPMs and just chugs along. The mechanic is telling me I’ve got good fuel pressure but he is stumped as to why the boat just chugs along and will not get enough fuel to get it up on plane. I am open to suggestions so I can get back to fishing. Thanks in advance!!!
  7. We ended up with 90 keeper crappie over three days on four different brush piles. Never have I had three days in a row like that! Tight & Thumping Lines!
  8. Got on the water about 8:45 and had two limits of crappie before 11. We were fishing some brush piles when fish came up and hit the shad and this nice largemouth took it upon himself to hit my buddies crankbait. We were having so much fun catching and releasing keeper crappie we just couldn’t quit and finally got off the water around 1 o’clock. Jigs in 8 to 18 feet, 72 degree water. What a beautiful day of fall weather fishing. Tight Lines!
  9. I don’t, saw this on another site. I’m currently down in south Florida volunteering with Convoy of Hope shipping food and supplies over to the Bahamas. Can’t wait to get back and catch crappie!!
  10. The boat ramp and swim beach parking lots at Ruark Bluff Day Use Area will be closed for several days in late September to early October for surface maintenance. Work will include crack filling, surface sealing, chip sealing and pavement marking. Set dates are not yet known but we will share them as soon as work is scheduled. If you have any questions, please contact the Stockton Lake Project Office at 417-276-3113. Thank you for your patience while we perform this much needed maintenance in these recreation areas.
  11. No Goat.
  12. Back up again early this morning and had an awesome top water bite on the Plopper!!! Spent all day in Sons Creek and ended up with roughly 20 bass and caught quite a few crappie but only six would measure. Found the crappie swimming a jig on isolated timber in 8 to 12 fow. Tight Lines!!!

Got on the water out of Mutton Creek about 830 this morning and it was an incredibly beautiful day out there, not a drop of rain at all. Ended up catching a number of nice bass on jigs and creature baits, one catfish and one drum on a crappie jig, and ended up with seven really nice black crappie. The crappie came on shad color jigs on brush in 12 to 16 feet of water on the main lake. Tight Lines!
  14. I was also up yesterday and after only catching one small bass and a bluegill after four hours I hung it up. I tried in the brush, in the very back of the brush, on points, flats and around bridge pilings. The water clarity is good around the Masters area but I’m afraid we are in the dog days of summer when it comes to fishing. Tight Lines....NOT! 😢
  15. I was also out today crappie fishing and we ended up with only 8 keepers after 7 hours. 20 to 25 fow using shad colored jigs.
  16. CB radio or Marine Band (VHF) radio??
  17. Oh boy, here we go ........... 😶

  19. How were the water conditions? Is the main lake dingy and dirty yet?
  20. What did the water look like in that area, stained or muddy?

Back on the water again this morning out of State Park and ended up with a limit of crappie and two walleye over 20 inches! We tried trolling the flicker shad’s but really didn’t have much luck with them. All of our fish except for two came by trolling jigs in shad patterns in 12 to 20 feet of water. About half the crappie we caught were females that still had eggs in them, some of the eggs had hardened up and I think are starting to be reabsorbed. Water temps were 64 to 68° Tight Lines!
  23. it was a beautiful day on the water and the crappie we’re pretty cooperative. Ended up with a nice limit of keepers out of Mutton Creek. Shad color jigs trolled slowly in 10 to 15 feet of water on channel swing banks. Water temps were 64 to 70. Tight Lines!
