  1. Nice job.....I have got to learn how to fish for them up there. I have lucked into a few while crappie fishing but have never targeted.
  2. On Friday I ended up going up Turnback about a mile and half and drifted back down. Only caught one white. Wind was brutal in a canoe. Did end up catching several decent sized largemouth though. Still a better day than working. Thanks again for the input. plan on going back up next week to try the crappie.
  3. Thanks for all the input, appreciate it!
  4. Heading up this Friday with the Yak. Had originally planned on hitting some feeder creeks for white bass, but, some of the recent posts note the crappie are starting to turn on in the lake. Not wanting any honey hole information, but, do you think I am too late for white bass up the creeks. Thanks for any input.

  11. Great Fish! I was there Saturday but did not do that well. Guess I need to stop in to Tim's for a mega worm!
  12. Just checking to see if anyone knows how the levels are currently with all of the rain? Thinking of heading down this weekend. Thanks in advance
  13. I put in at the west wire road access and worked my way upstream. I am still pretty new to this creek and trying to figure out best access etc. Great creek though and love it.
  14. I hit Crane this past Friday morning. Caught a few on gold ribbed hares ear nymph. All small. Need a frost to knock down some vege.
  15. Thanks for all this info guys. I was finally able to go this past weekend for the first time. Was not sure where to start so went to middle access and worked my way west. Came across a lot of small pools and caught three fish total. Was only able to fish a few hours. I am sure I spooked some fish around those small pools. Caught everything on a pheasant tail nymph locally tied at Tim's Fly Shop. Looking forward to going back when I have all day so I can explore more areas and find some bigger pools. Thanks again... Oh and it was HOT
  16. Thanks for the heads up......I will hit it and update
  17. Thanks Lancer, appreciate the input. had hoped to it this past weekend but work interfered.
  18. I am new to Crane Creek and will be fly fishing it for the first time. I have gained a lot of good info on this site. Thanks Besides the Snakes, which apparently can be an issue, how is the hot summer weather fishing? I would plan on hitting it right a daylight to hit the coolest temp possible. thanks for any info
  19. Thanks for the update drew03cmc. I had no idea all of that had been going on. Will be sure to watch out. Thanks again
  20. What is the Land of Enchantment? I must be behind the times. I was thinking of taking this same float but may think again.
  21. Thanks for the input guys. A friend had made a tour Friday and the ramps we had thought to try were all froze in. You could tell where some duck hunters had broke and launched but had not gotten very far. May look good for this weekend as well with temps in the teens at night this week.
  22. My uncle did well on 1/6 as well, he said 40ft deep. Hopefully ice will not last long, have some days off coming up.
  23. May head up Saturday to wet a line. Before I drive up does anyone in the area know if the water is frozen at the ramps for launching? Mainly interested in Ruark or CC. Thanks in advance.
  24. Heading up to either Ruark or CC ramp this Friday for some crappie. How have the ramps been? Are they still packed with a long wait? Thanks for any info, need to know how early to start out.

    Finally !

Thanks for the info. Heading up to Stockton this Friday with the wife. Using some history on this forum had planned on trolling cranks and crawler harness' around 20' deep. I do not have much experience fishing for walleyes and have used this site for some learning/tips. Will try shallow as well. Thanks again
