Nice report strawhat.Im leaving now to scatter some catfish jugs and try for some crappie around some trees we found yesterday while trolling.Everytime we trolled this one area we would catch one small crappie.The last time through that area i was in 18fow and my shallow water alarm went off and it said i was in 6fow and i saw 2-3 trees on the screen.Maybe i will get lucky and get my first limit of crappie for the year.

I throw out 15-20 jugs in a line and then i troll back and forth for walleye and crappie(within sight of my jugs).Everything is labeled.No laws broken here! 6 yesterday and 4 today and we just cooked every bit of it today.If we want a fishfry we have to run jugs to feed everyone.I never get a limit of crappie or walleye so we eat those the night we catch them.Conservation Agents boat is parked next to the fish cleaning station and he even said he needed to run some jugs sometime.If there is calm winds i run jugs but if its windy like it always is,we just fish from the dock.

Is that a ropeswing in the background?Shouldn't be that hard to find.Hes probably there right now.Heck,we already got a tree and a rope.

Went out this morning at daylight and scattered some jugs.Weather channel said 4-6mph winds this morning but it was was more like 10-12.Pontoon acted like a sail and the jugs were moving to fast so we pulled the jugs in and moved to some calmer water and ended up with 4 cats.Between yesterday and today we have enough catfish nuggets for everyone tonight.Happy Independence Day everyone!

Got out about 6am and scattered some jugs with shrimp at my usual spot and only caught 1.Pulled my jugs in after a couple of hours and started trolling around.Found a big area that was 22-26 feet deep and scattered my jugs again and some of them were bouncing by the time i was done putting them out.Caught a bunch of tiny ones but ended up taking 6 home..Gonna hit that same spot early in the morning.Will have my camera tomorrow instead of my cellphone.

Nice Truck!! i used to drive an old red IH when i was 15-16.We would tear out driveways with a sledgehammer and a prybar and fill the bed full and drive it to the dump and throw it all off bye hand.The steering was loose as a goose but you could not hurt that old truck.My cousin in Desoto,Ks had BIG i mean really BIG scouts and he had about 15 scouts and trucks all in a line in his back yard for parts.My brother had 2 scouts.One was solid and one was rust.

All the publicity will wear off in a month or two and a year from now she will have a new show and making more money then she did this year.The millions of dollars for interviews,and her tell all book she will have published.Everyone will forget and all is forgiven.I dont even know who she is...we dont watch tv in our house.

I couldnt join the boy scouts cause we were gone alot,but they had boyscout meetings at the church next door and me and my buddy always got in fights with a couple of the scouts(their fault).I wasnt a scout but ive allways fished and loved the outdoors.My friend was a scout and he never fishes,camps,look for morels,nothing outdoors.I dont think it does anything for you unless (you) make it happen.I think its just something to keep boys busy and out of trouble.When i got older i dated a girl that was a girl scout once.Does that count?

Were gonna camp on our pontoon at the marina next weekend here in stockton.Friday about 6-7pm all the drunks will show up cause they have had a good couple of hours to drink on the ride down here.Then when they get here they will all crowd the boat ramps packing their coolers and tubes and girlfriends and kids,and then trying to start their boat that hasnt been started since last labor day weekend(thats gonna be fun to watch)then all the drunk hoopin and hollerin on the docks and the campground later that night....Saturday morning will be quiet(cause everyone is sleeping or hungover) and were gonna scatter some catfish jugs and troll around for some walleye.After 1pm we probably wont venture out past the buoys.we will probably anchor ourselves within sight of all the marina traffic and watch all the fun start.Everyone goes real slow making their way out to the buoys while all the big boats and jetskis coming in going full blast until they get to the buoys(should be a good afternoon).Gonna camp on the pontoon at the marina and try to catch some meth-head tweakers lurking around the marina breaking into boats and lockers(maybe i can get my limit).I think everyone needs to shoot some videos this holiday weekend and next week we can all compare videos of the craziness on our lakes.

i took the pics off his phone and had my girlfriend go to walmart and got him the pics printed cause the phone will eventually die and the pics will be gone forever.It will be a while before he realizes what he actually caught.I throw my shad net at the other side of the bridge and one time i was getting some shad and had a full net and was pitching the crappie and baby bass back in and i found a little 3 inch fish that had dots on it and i just thought it was one of those little darter fish you find in creeks.That might have been a muskie.

I dont know what time they were there..Im positive he caught it there cause that is all they have been talking about,and that is the concrete bridge support on the east side of the bridge.Its always sandy on that side. i would say it came from the osage.The sac and osage meet at osceola.The osage and the sac have been there forever.Pomme would be a long trip but anything is possible.I would still love to catch one.

The boys friend caught this below caplinger mills wednesday on a rooster tail.I would love to catch one.

I used to fish James A Reed lakes in Kansas City and each lake and little boats you could rent for $5 a day and you put your own trolling motor on it and go fish.Everytime we would go we would go get all the lures out of the trees and brush piles.Well the last time i went there the conservation was going out and getting the lures and the office had a big display of lures that were going to kids or a charity or something.Its been a long time since ive been there but you might give them a call and ask.They might know of a place in your area.

You will probably sell out if everyone planted like i did.I had started giant belgiums from seed and they were 2 1/2 feet tall and big fat stems Last weekend it was 80 degrees and the 10 day forecast said the lows were gonna be 50-55 so i planted everything.Yesterday when i was covering everything i found one yellow flower on one of my mater plants.We have had an est3.4 inches of snow overnight here in Stockton with 1-2 more inches today and todays high is 37.I dont think my maters can take two days covered up.If i start my seeds again today i should be picking maters by the end of aug or early sept.

Im looking for the same transducer for my cuda 168.I use it for depth only on my console when im driving.My transducer aint clicking no more.I hooked the cuda 168 unit into my buddys transducer cable and it works fine.

Im gonna be up in the city for work tomorrow and i have two spots in Belton,one in Grandview,and one in Martin City to hit.I hope they are still there.They were there five years in a row but i havent checked them for two years.
