Mine are a little bigger that TrophyFishR I use 7" Zman finesse worms cut in half, I also seem to do better with the end with the pointy tail. When they get tore up around the hook I have cut them off and reused the shorter portion and was still able to catch fish it them. I have green/pumpkin, pumpkin & PB&J and for me the pumpkin works the best but that might be because of the water color where I fish.
The little pond where I mainly fish can't have many big fish in it I wouldn't think, it's about an acre in size. I have caught an 18.5" and a couple of 14 & 15" ones. Most are from 9-11" but I don't think it as much the jig as the place.
I have some 4" Zero Elastech worms and they don't do as well as the 3.5" ones I cut from the 7' ones, the cut 7" one are fatter and I think that might have something to do with it, the 4" are a lot skinner.
The smaller hook Gopher jig heads work better than the same weight with the a larger hook. The bigger hooks seem to get hung up more and I catch more fish on the smaller hooks.
