Went down today also.
Right before the rain hit it was like clock work and as the clouds moved in, it slowed way down.
Had to cross the steel bridge to catch them as usual.
I went crappie fishing with my buddies and used it for the first time and they were killing it. Watermelon red flake, tube and hair jig bite were few in between.
Thanks guys.
I usually dont fish this time of year and I just recently have gained 24/7 access to a boat in a slip at the state park.
Ill definitely try these things.
^conservation said it would be bad this year but i never in a million years thought of this outcome. fishing for crappies is quite the workout this year.
A guy got busted on the fishing dock at cedar ridge with 56 crappie, ALL SHORT with the shortest one at 6 inches.
Several walleye 11" and under, all in 5 gallon buckets with no water.
18 fishing poles rigged to the front of the dock all unlabeled.
Surely there are enough keeper size fish at stockton to not have to do that.
