watched a guy on one side in a turnback at taylor bridge slaying white bass. directly across from him on the other side a guy fishin another turn back/eddie slayin walleye. i couldnt catch nothin it was pretty busy that day will have to go again soon to get on em

Apparently people were having a tough time out on the lake from what I heard from the boats coming in. To my luck we found a good bank with shad rolling over on top of the water and guess who was chasing them...caugh them on a jig and bobber in 5 feet of water. Color didnt matter. Ive been reading these reports kind of getting programmed to thinking they were deep but went against my instincts and FINALLY got on some crappie. You could catch three or four and move down the bank and catch more so long as there were bushes and shad. (seemed like they were staging to spawn waiting for the water to warm) Im thinking Pomme will be my home lake this year. I fished LOZ the day before ALL DAY without a bite. Stockton hasnt been much better.

Care to share your strategy for tackling eyes at fellows? Ive fished fellows and done good with bass. Im close but I usually make a drive to stockton or pomme if Im gonna fish walleye .

Lews makes a rod special for the Arig they are on Bennett in springfield or tacklewarehouse might have some.

Id fish Stockton at night around that time if possible.

Got tons of new gear today. Lots of good deals from what i seen. VMC hook 3 bucks. 660 yards sufix siege 5 bucks (6-14lb test) Storm hardbaits 3 bucks squarebill bombers 5 for 10$ ALL XPS hardbaits 3$ each. (got two jerbaits today) There were literally aisles and aisles of deals. Gonna have to go back this week I think i missed a bunch of stuff I still need.

Me and my buddy talk about our best day last year when the crappie were spawning up at stockton. This year we will be free enough to catch them all running.

I know thats right. Stockton is beginning to look like a big field.

It seems like either they are biting or theyre not. Caught an 11 1/2 crappie (i couldnt believe it) and many bass slow rolling colorless plain roostertails. Chrome seems to work better than other colors, also been using pumpkin seed trick worms catchin em on the bottom.

First time back at stockton in a while at the aldrich area, wow has the water went down. The road that yielded so many crappie during the spawn is now dry and driveable. I knew it would be a tough day, blue bird sky and the low water doesnt yield many fish from the bank. My mom caught a medium size Gill (finally got her out there!). Threw everything I had for em today, strike king sinko style, purple spook, tomato core jigs, tequila sunrise ribbontail, pumpkinseed trickworms...nothing. Maybe next time.

Rigged weightless ("deadstick") and ALWAYS with gamakatsu hooks (expensive but lazer sharp. always hookup right in the nose).

My only doubt with that lure is that it isnt weedless. Wouldnt it be better to get a lure like the live taget mouse with weedless hooks???

Man I wish I had a boat. I just catch stragglers every now and then from the bank.

Startin to get the Stockton itch. Went from goin twice a week to nothin in two weeks i need to get back out there.

Im addicted to any and every kind of top water there is. Id really like to fish a black bird or a mouse one of these days...

They had been wanting to arrest or detain any and everyone that came and gone from there for so long...I surprised it didnt happen sooner. Its a wonder they hadnt just torched the property.

Ive just heard of a tournament where top water frogs are only used. Sounds interesting, has anyone heard of or fished one of these types of tournaments?
