  11. Went bass fishing this morning at CC did pretty good lots of hard hits but I seen a guy that had a limit of crappie and we talked and I jumped at the info, so around 2 pm I got to Aldrich after picking up some minnows and hit the bluffs I caught around 20 and kept a dozen mostly big sows They were about 3-3 1/2 feet deep and about 10 foot off the bank. The big was slow but keep coming in waves I lost a good walleye and a few good crappie. There were 4 cats caught right around me one good 10lbs or so. 2 people there were really hitting them hard and looked like they had a limit. I tried several jigs and plastics and never got a bite but picked up a heavy 13 incher on a 1/16 oz white jig head with a minnow about 4 foot deep steady retrieve. Most of the crappie I seen caught and caught myself were under bobbers. I will be back in a few days to hit it again. And for the person responsible for sharping those rocks, you can stop now they are sharp enough.
  12. Went today and hit the cc bridge and walked the bank I took several plastic worms and caught around 20 bass none over 3 lbs but had a blast red shad culprit 7.5 inch with a 1/4 oz bullet weight and cast along the brush. I did pick up a few small bass on a 3 inch white grub with a 1/2 oz football jig head. I talked to a few guys picking them up on spinners double willow blades white and chartreuse. But then I heard the crappie were biting and well.... Crappie in the freezer.

  15. Well anything moving this week?
  16. I will try that lol I looked for over 2 hours today and nothing. I tried 2 apple groves like I was told and either I and not wearing the right clothes and they are hiding or there was nothing there. I walked way down both sides of a river and again nothing.
  17. Are the on the bank yet? I went to Bagnell dam today and not a bite. Fished for 4 hours and seen some whites busting but they would not hit.
  18. I can't ever find them. Everyone around me can but I have a better chance catching a bigfoot with a rooster tail lol what the secret?
  19. Well got to make a run to Orleans today got there around 4:30 fished the west side from the bridge north to where the river splits. Rooster tail produced 3 small mouths, all put together would still have not been a keeper. Switched over to a white swimming minnow with a chart.1/8 oz head caught 4 very small large mouth. Switched to a smoke colored 2 inch paddle tail with a black 1/8 oz head and caught 3 tiny white bass. Last lure was a rapala countdown only had one with me and hooked a 12-15 pound carp on 4 lb test and lost them both, so I got mad lol and went to Taylor I got lost on the way over but still got to see some nice sows on a few stringers. I talked with some real nice people and had a good time. A few more days the should get rolling. There was some guys on the East side of the bridge at Orleans had a basket full of fish but I have no clue what they were or what they were catching them on. I am heading back up Sunday unless I here that they are biting.
  20. Thanks guys I have never fished that area but I love working small creeks I have a spot for smallmouth that is amazing in the fall its a bit of a drive but nothing like wading the river with the leaves changing above you. So whats the best route to Orleans from Springfield?
  21. Where would be the best place to walk fish on the bank Taylor up to Orleans or orleans on up? Also is the Sac river road tore up bad I had a buddy said its was really rough this year. I plan on making a trip Thursday.
  22. I am headed up in the morning to see if there are any left on the bank. What are they hitting on? Last week they were 5 to 6 feet deep about 10 feet off the bank at Greenfield.
  23. Caught them on shiners and worms
  24. Kentucky or Spotted bass should be more protected I am getting fewer and fewer on the line.
  25. Only took 3 lost on no eggs in them but they were right on the chunk rocks about 6 feet deep
