  1. Back to the trolling, what are you pulling? Cranks? Road runners a little slower? Jigs? Thanks
  2. Thanks. I'll give it a go
  3. Went out today. Picked up a few keeper crappie in brush in 25 fow. Had to get jig right in pile. Must have lost a dozen jigs. Such is the nature of the beast. Didn't jig any spoons, but after reading the wonderful article in fall walleye thread here on stockton forum I can't wait to get a jigging spoon out on stockton....as soon as I get my electronics fixed!
  4. There shouldn't be any shame pointing out when others don't follow rules intended for us all to follow. The shame should be on them for not following them!
  5. Has anyone had any success jigging spoons around the dam? I was thinking about giving it a go on these warmer days
  6. Going to head up to stockton to beat some brush piles and jig some spoons. Chasing crappie and whites. Anyone have a suggestion that would help me choose between mutton area or state park area? Any leads appreciated
  7. I have a few hanging from a dock in the dam area of table rock. That's all they hold. They don't hold crappie, but they do hold a couple bass.
  8. Hmmm. Interesting. Thanks for the feedback!!
  9. Interesting. Wonder if the crappie guys had the same experience. I wanted to go beat the brush piles today but work prevailed. Guess I made the right choice!
  10. I bet someone killed em today
  11. Thanks
  12. Josh, how deep were they? Thanks
  13. I'vs got a Tracker Tournament v18 All fish with 115 merc 2s on the back. It's a great all around boat. You can find an image on google. Has the front platform for casting, huge livewell up front for cats n eyes and a smaller live well in the rear, a smaller rear deck and a walk through design. It will handle anything....we spend summers on table rock by the dam, but is easy to trailer and manuever weighing in at only 1100 lbs bare boat. Plenty of room for 3 batteris to run a 24volt troller system. Down sides are....it's single console...but hey, I got a console, and that's about it. She runs 43 full or empty, easy on the gas, and you can get them faily inexpensively as you can most trackers. You can ski behind it if the mood strikes too.
  14. Ditto on Jigging Spoons, maximizing electronics use both side and down image, and identifying sturctures listed previously. Great idea! I hope it all comes together!
  15. Who is the crappie guide on stockton you are reffering to? I would love to spend a day with a guide this winter to learn how to jig like this.
  16. Mo, I sent you a couple pm's Thanks for all of your help
  17. Thanks again! This will be my wife's first gun hunt. Sounds like she'll be hard pressed to beat this one! What an opportunity!! Do we place our own blind or are we assigned blinds placed by mdc/corp? Hope to see you there. Are we allowed to scout the weekend before?
  18. I have a technical question for you then on the stockton deal...I asked a friend in mdc and he wasnt sure. In the directions it says only the person who drew the hunt is allowed in the hunt area. My wife has never gun hunted before, only bow hunted. For safety, do you think they would let me accompany her as long as I don't touch anything having to do with the hunt (gun, deer, etc)? I bought her one of those deer carts so she could get it out if she shot one. The letter says to contact hunt manager for exceptions. Thanks for the feedback I know it will be up to the hunt manager, just curious what your take on the situation is. Oh yeah, we took a doe archery sunday from the outlet!! Couldn't find the peas and veg plots, but we'll keep looking
  19. As all others have said, thank you for the great input. Some of us are starting to feel how this shutdown is becoming personal as you have. My wife drew the Stockton hunt and for now it's on hold. I hope they get this figured out and get people such as yourself back to work.
  20. Mopanfisher, Would you happen to know if people can still get in the outflow park to bow hunt? I heard you can still hunt corp ground and wasn't sure. Thanks for feedback
  21. We'll, we probably should have gone to taneycomo. Ran here and there, deep and shallow, and only managed a few dinks. Water was 73-75 degrees. Fish seemed to be hanging around shad on electronics. Better than a sharp stick in the eye.
  22. Thanks for the feedback. That was plan b! Was water decent after rain or is there debris everywhere?
  23. Anyone have any thoughts how fishing might be Sunday on the back side of this front? I don't get to get out much, but hate to burn a tank of gas to get skunked. I look forward to your thoughts on the subject.
  24. Question........Is the outflow park below the dam closed then?
  25. A close friend of mine had the same problem at LOZ last summer. He mounted 2 trail cameras you would use for deer hunting up high in the dock looking down on his boat. He got a good deal of pictures of the thieves including vessel id numbers of their boat. He then turned it in to water patrol and the criminals were arrested that week. As many conservationists like to say "kill em with a camera". Happy Hunting!
