Now this is just my opinion, so take it for what it is worth. Fish seem to be scattered. Our best bight has been coming off of 18 to 20 ft of water and dropping off to much deeper water. So mainly a ledge. So if you are bouncing along at 20' of water then all the sudden it starts dropping into deeper water of a channel that's when we are getting our hits. Now are they just lethargic and following it for a long time and once it drops off they think I better hit it now before the bait goes to deep. Or r they setting up on that break. I tend to think it is because they r holding on that break. We have fished flat areas I don't mean the flats necessarily but also flat areas in coves where the bottom is relatively flat and working that 15 to 25' depth we pick one up here and there but nothing consistent. Also they seem to be in the brush I have caught quite a few bouncing along see brush on the depth finder lift my rod to bring my bouncer over the brush and that's when they take it. I am going to go next Tuesday and I told my wife we r only going to jig fish. She doesn't believe I will only jig fish but I really want to put some time in with it. Finding those areas I have been talking about and just vertically fish them. She is probably correct I will be bottom bouncing the first hour. lol
