I’m sure Dad is still around. He’s been known to catch em pretty good a time or two.

I'd stay closer to mouths of big feeder creeks. Move in as needed. Water temp drops quick closer to main lake. Go slow. Idle.

Had one white yesterday. Probably 14". Water is low. Water is muddy. 53-54.5 water temp.

I think I remember you telling that Walleye was around 12lbs? I could be wrong. We caught a really nice one a couple years back. That one was about 8? @dprice

Thank you for taking me. Had a ton of fun. Really enjoyed it. Not sure if I was more surprised about the 4pounder or the keeper Kentucky

Andddd. You're back. Couldn't stand it

Here's a response. Cause I know you were itching to get one. You've said your fair share of BS. Hope that eases your pain

where to buy "live crickets" and preferred way to rig?
Dirtracer35 replied to wareaglecamo's topic in Stockton Lake
I remember as a kid a bait shop having them. But for the life of me can't remember where it was. Also used to buy crickets for a pet tarantula from pet stores. You could call around town and price them. -
I looked the wind up on Weather Underground. Where you can search archives and history from town to town. Stockton recorded wind speeds of 40 mph around 530ish. And a max wind gust of 46mph around the same time. Lucky you made it back.

Sorry didn't mean to be 18" off. And for the people that care. Lots of junk coming down around the high point area.

As if you all didn't know. The water is 5' high. Means you can get places you normally can't. Went fishing today and was able to stay safe among the reckless. Fishing wasn't so good. So here's a video from as far back in Turkey Creek as you can get and coming out. Plenty of water. Graphed 7' before a log jam.

Sadly I work this weekend or I'd be there.

Amen. Jim was an awesome guy. Truly blessed to have known him. Such a great angler and person.

I hate to be the person to post this. But for the ones who knew him personally. And to the ones who didn't have the pleasure of doing so. We have lost a very influential member. Jim Breidenstein, Sac River Jim, passed away in a car accident early this morning. My father fished with Jim several times and became close friends. I was fortunate enough to meet him once. Very outstanding person. He was always there for anybody needing help on and off the water. He was very active here on the forums and was a great angler. He is in good company with the Lord. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. May they heal in time. Rest In Peace Jim. See you on the water.

Just heard Stockton could get another 6" of rain by the time this Tropical system moves out. Got to wondering how high it will get. The record is "EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum contents, 1,450,000 acre-ft, Apr 28, 1973, elevation, 885.94 ft; minimum, since initial filling to minimum power pool level, 352,000 acre-ft, Aug 27 to Sep 4, 1970, elevation, 839.60 ft." Per the USGS water data. As she sits right now the lake level is 872.27 Any guesses on how high it will get?

From July 1 through Aug. 31, no angler in Missouri may release bass after putting them in a live well. JEFFERSON CITY-If you think summer is uncomfortable for you, put yourself in a fishs place. Your home heats up, oxygen gets scarce, and there is no air (or water) conditioning or fans to turn on. That is why Missouri fishing regulations prohibit anglers from culling during July and August. Culling is the practice of releasing one fish that was caught previously so you can keep a larger one. When anglers put the last fish of their daily limit in a live well, they no longer can keep any fish of that species that day. However, under certain conditions, anglers fishing in tournaments can continue to fish if they stop one fish short of a limit and release a living fish from their live well before replacing it with a fish they just caught. This allows them to trade up, replacing one fish with a larger one. Tournament bass anglers may cull live bass from September through June. July and August are the months the no culling rule applies. The rule is meant to reduce the number of tournament caught bass that are subject to higher mortality during the hot summer months. The rule also heightens tournament anglers awareness of the factors that influence fish mortality. Missouris limit on black bass is six per day. This includes any bass that are not released immediately, whether they are in live wells for one minute or for eight hours. Once you placed a sixth bass in your live well you may not replace any of the bass with another. However, if you are fishing in a tournament in which the limit is five bass, and you have five bass in the live well, you can replace one fish, one time. If a bass dies in your live well it cannot be replaced with a live one, any time. If you have caught your sixth legal bass and have placed all six fish in your live well for any length of time, you can continue fishing but you must release any bass caught immediately, regardless of size.

fishing Stockton lake in late spring
Dirtracer35 replied to Aggressor1988long's topic in Stockton Lake
Haha no. It was a joke. People keep and fry the last of the "big fish" in the lake. I guess C&R would have been a more appropriate term than pro. But that sometimes goes hand in hand with a mans ego when he talks. -

Stockton doesn't have quality fish. Too many pleasure fisherman keeping the big ones from the pros. Might as well throw that Ned rig and catch 50 twelve inchers. Confidence baits at their finest. Some lures catch bass no matter what. That's not a pattern to me. Quality fish change almost daily. Hard to predict. Would rather spend the time adding to the live well then stuck on a measuring board. IMO. Good luck and hope you whack em -
Mid lake yesterday with cloud cover. Very small fish surfacing. Nothing to brag about. They follow. But aren't big enough to commit
-
And there's probably 100+ just like it. To each their own. Everyone has their opinion and entitled to it. Enjoy seeing the pictures of the big ones. And congrats. The biggest we had yesterday was 4. Was surprised with the keeper spots.

Nice fish. Real nice fish. Hope this doesn't go where I think it's going...

Sounds like a good day regardless of size. It did get kinda tough once the campers woke up.

It's nice when their on a blade. Great weekend as well. Had tons of fun. Lots better than poles down on a bed.
