  1. How high is pretty high? Last time I went down it there were 4' rapids at the bridge and we couldn't find the fish to save our lives. Ended up with only a couple per person.
  2. Might be madness but were runnin out of summer
  3. Hey I've got one of those too. Nice boats. The seat sucks though, I upgraded mine.
  4. Well were committed at this point, but it looks like it may rain all weekend. Awesome!

Yeah she should be in good shape. I'm thinking of upgrading to full frame if she would be interested in going to a t3i shoot me a pm and we can hash it out.

The EF mount was introduced in 1987
  9. Thanks for the tips Al. Looks like the only place with cabins available is wilderness ridge. A guy I work with was there a few weeks ago and said its nice. Anyone know anything about this place?
  10. My girlfriend and I are looking for a place to float/fish that's less crowded than the niangua. Thinking about staying at richs last resort. Any tips/pointers? Good place to stay? Other options? I'd like a cabin with ac to cool off in afterwards.
  11. I would prolly be up for that one of these days
  12. Didn't seem to really matter, but I was throwing an orange grub that seemed to produce consistently larger fish than my buddies. Which was ok with me. Beetle spin was slow. Mostly grubs/tubes.
  13. Went out with dano79 and another buddy, prolly caught 50 in 4hrs. Most were short but we caught 10 or so that were decent. Good times!
  14. Built a little rack on my trailer for hauling boats and camping/fishing gear. Not quite done but it'll take me to the river tomorrow morning.
  15. Blake Hughes at 417motorsports. Excellent aluminum guy but he's not cheap. But then again, Good al work and cheap don't really go hand in hand. 417.865.1314 tell him John Van Ommen sent ya.
  16. Where did you put in and take out Chris?
  17. Thanks for the advice. I've been haunting the outlet but haven't run across something that fits the bill yet. Hopefully soon.
  18. That 12' pescador kicks a flat bottom boats butt all around. Maneuverability, noise, weight, speed, amount of water needed to float, everything about it is a jillion times better than a traditional boat when person powered. I own one. For the money you can't buy a better kayak, and ask google...you can easily find a ton of people who agree with me. Unless of course, you need to have two people. I'd get two kayaks. Then when she doesn't want to go you don't have to haul around a tin can. Plus you can throw a kayak in just about anywhere you can get to water.
  19. What's the anchor kit like? Willing to sell it separately?
  20. If by write a recommendation you mean invite my friends to it, done.
  21. I wouldn't try it. We ran that section in kayaks a week ago and it was real tight. Tons of smallish smallies though, lots of fun when we weren't dragging.
  22. A couple weeks ago my truck, along with some other vehicles, was broken into at work and a bunch of stuff including my fly rod was stolen. it was a brand new setup I hadn't even had out of the tube. Nothing real fancy but still a couple hundred bucks down the drain. Well the cops caught the guy and no trace of my rod. So I'm in the market for a setup. Can't afford a sage or anything like that but if you've got something for sale let me know. Thanks.
  23. Just about anything small enough to fit in their mouth is a good way to catch bluegill, in my experience
  24. we chickened out and went to springfield lake instead, had a lot of fun and caught a few fish to boot
  25. A buddy and I are going somewhere tomorrow morning and were thinking of running this stretch. Is it doable in a kayak without walking the whole way?
