  4. Can't beat a good jig bite. The versatility of the jig makes it a blast to fish. I always have a couple ready to go.
  5. I could spend hours every night out in the shop getting all my rods rigged up, organizing tackle, and messing with the boat.
  6. The bill on the 110+ 1 is much tougher than the 110.
  7. Don't know about CC but Hartley should be ok
  8. What conditions has everyone found to be best for the A-rig bite?
  9. Seaguar Invizx 6# - 20# on all applications except topwater and A-rig. Topwater= 20# Trilene A-rig= 65# power pro super slick braid
  10. Yes it is Sportsman's Factory Outlet. Unfortunately I think the special on the 110+ 1 is over.

  14. Both rods are still available
  15. Happy New Year everyone!
  16. Now is the time to be throwing a jerkbait. There are several different jerk baits too choose from; lucky craft, mega bass, luck e strike, and spro all make great jerkbaits. Many colors too choose from as well. Bone or any shad colored baits are always a good choice.
  17. Great choice with the Falcon Lowrider Eakins Jig Special rod I have two and love them, hope you do too.
  18. Yes Falcon will replace it if you send it in. Not sure on the turn around time though.
  19. Hope everyone had a great Christmas!
  20. A couple seminars along with a published guide would be great.
  21. I don't think anyone is taking anything away from a 12'' fish or the cool story of how, who, and where it was caught. But if every time someone caught a 12'' fish and posted a picture of it, all we would have to look at would be 12'' fish. It's not common to catch a 5-8 lber every weekend like it is a 12'' in most places in the Ozarks, so when a big one is landed it's special and worthy of posting a picture. 12'' fish are just to common to be posting pics of every time one is caught.
  22. Haha are you kidding me joeD? You have obivously never been in the "zone" then.
  23. Too echo what Troy said I have only heard about how the lake used to be, but feel that the number of fish in that 5-8 lb range is quite strong and looks too be continually increasing since the fish kill. Given the fishery stays healthy I sure hope we see more and more fish of that class being brought too the scales and soon those that go over that double digit mark. Assuming we had two good hatches the past two springs with the high lake levels we should be excited about the future fishing on the Rock. I don't think the water dropped fast enough too leave many nests dry (I may be wrong) so we should have plenty out there growing.
  24. Thanks for the info Troy. Appreciate it.
