  1. My name is Scott, Welcome to the area. I belong to Bear Creek Bass Club out of Rogers. We meet the 2nd Thursday of the month at Central United Methodist Church in Rogers 7:00 pm. Due to Valentines Day falling on the normal meeting day we moved February’s meeting to the 7th. Your more than welcome to come, meet the guys and learn more about the Club. You can reach me at 479-657-8760 if you have any questions.
  2. If you give me the coordinates, I'll go sit on the spot and whop anyone that shows up w/o a kayak. Seriously, that sucks and I hate that another fisherman was that rude. He'll be on some forum somewhere complaining of the jet skiers and pleasure boaters screwing up his fishing.
  3. It was a Winter Series Tournament, we fished it and gave up at noon. To say it was miserable, is an understatement. I couldn't feel my fingers or toes and no fish to get the blood flowing. As difficult as the fishing was, the real adventure was getting out of the PC parking lot and getting home. Oh my!! At one point yesterday, I looked down and the snow was drifting above the top of seats from the back deck. It was past time to leave by then.
  4. Bear Creek Bass Club is in Rogers and we meet the 2nd Thursday of every month and fish 10 Tournaments a year. We are a BASS affiliated Club and are a teaching club. Only money to be made is thru a big bass pot. NWA Bassmasters is still in operation and meet at the AQ chicken house in Springdale. I'm not sure on the day or time for their meeting. My phone number is 479-657-8760 if you have more questions or want to attend a meeting. My name is Scott.
  5. It seems we have a few things in common! I like jerk baits and hate the Jayhawks too!! Go to your favorite tackle shop or a BPS and ask for a reel to put on a few deep cranking rods. Try them all and look for one that is light, parabolic and has good balance with the reel. I'm finding the older I get I like lighter gear, especially if I am going to throw it all day long. My current DC rod is the Falcon Cara Deep Cranker. Its a great rod and has all the attributes listed above. I also have a couple of older crankin sticks that are ok. IMHO the mojo, Clunn and Skeet rods are to heavy and big and bulky looking. Good luck and let us know what you end up getting.
  6. Call southtown sporting goods in Fayetteville Arkansas. 1-479-443-7148 I know they have some of these maps.
  7. Boat trailers are the most neglected aspect of boat ownership. Bunks, bearings, tires, winch straps and lights too name a few.
  8. I have a Humminbird 787 CI 2 for sale for $300.00. It's a color graph with gps, transducer puck and transducer saver. I have everything for it! LMK if your interested.
  9. Baitcaster, I need to work on the spinning rod. It's a confidence thing, I guess.
  10. I've had side imaging on the TM for several years now and really like it. You really need the transducer shield and saver mount. It truly is a transducer saver!!!!
  11. The bone shiner color with gold glitter, not sure of the exact name.
  12. OK, threw the new rogue today at the Beav and caught 2 Kentuckies, 1 walleye and 2 LMB's. It casts like a rogue (not very good in the wind). It was going deeper than a regular rogue, but I wasn't getting it to 10'. IMO it may be a little to big for the beav and the size of the shad right now. With the weather this week I should get to experiment with it a couple more times. Right now, it will not replace my current favorite JB!
  13. I bought some at the classic and at HLS. Haven't thrown them yet, but plan to when I get out this week. I have been catching lots of good fish on deep divers this year. I started throwing DD's simply because my partner was throwing a shallow diver. Just something different and it worked.
  14. yes, it's the same guy and I'm certain he can fix your reel.
