I enjoy the reports on this forum and like to share positive thought's and tips I've learned with other fellow fishers when I have any, and to always be truthful. Thanks for all that you have shared on the forum. Good luck and good fishing to all.

  9. I always looked at fishing as me vs. Fish. Fish win some, and I win some. Love the challenge, but fishing can be frustrating at times when I can't figure out the puzzle, in which many times I over think it. But that's fishing.
  10. Bullshoals has been the best for me all spring, I've had my struggle's at the rock. The bull seems to have a lot less pressure, love the night fishing at bull
  11. wish I could have a day of fishing like that, now I know how charlie brown feel's. After reading about a great trip like that, I wonder why can't I catch that many. I should sell my boat and buy a new shinny bowling ball & some cool shoes & try a different sport!!! Congrats on a great day.
  12. Good luck with morning topwater, I had a lot of fun catching a lot of 14" fat spots but could not get a keeper up in the white, until I started watching the graph and got a grub down to 25'-30' and caught some keeper lg mouth. Keep an eye out for those deeper fish if the top water isn't producing keepers.
  13. I think quantum make's the best spinning real, especially when they patterned the titanium no fail bail. I always had trouble with bail failure in the past, but not with quantum magnetic titanium bails, would not buy any other spinning reel. I've had mine for over 10 years and works great. Quantum was the first in this no fail bail system.
  14. Blk&purple single blade #7, mostly on steeper rock, not bluff banks, but around main points & some secondary points. The jig also worked but the good fish liked the 1/2 oz. Spinner slow rolled.best spot was Carter point and east bank coming out of carter.
  15. Fished this last sat night 9:30pm- 3:30 when the fog rolled in. Caught a 5.1 and 4.4 and 3-17" large mouth 6-8' on spinnerbait, main lake banks. Best bite was at 1am, caught many 14" spots & a few smallmouth. Took a nap from 3:30 until 6 am and the top water was great action but no keeper's until I went down after them with a grub in 25'-30' and had 3 keeper's, I had fun and wanted to share.

  18. My first time fishing the derby, and could believe how tuff the fishing was for me. I think its a fun & well run tourn. But feel the weight in sight could have been at least more central of the lake, say Kimberly area or at least more than one weight in would have cut down a lot of boat traffic, especially in such rough water.
  19. Night fished 4-8-16 Friday, 10pm--1am swan ck, 2lb average large mouth, on wee wart & Texas rigged black craw. Took 3 hours to get a limit and caught no short fish or big fish and lost several on wee wart.
