  1. Hey Russ, over here in Neosho. Give us a heads up when the whites start runn'in will ya?
  2. Stickers sound pretty cool actually. Kinda like BASS or that other organization I can't think of at the moment.
  3. RRV, what were you driving? I was in the lot @ 8:00 and asked some other guys if they were with ozark anglers and they didn't have a clue to what I was talking about. I drive an old blue s-10 extended cab. Were you the guy with a red stocking cap on? If so I talked to you and didn't know any better. I had my best luck in the C&R zone and just below the low water bridge. The jig color was a sculpin and I was sssslllloooowwwwlllyyyy bouncing it off the bottom.
  4. Funny about all who said they would be there and then weren't! It was awfully windy out there today. Wayne, I know you would have done better had you brought either a spinning outfit or a heavier weight flyrod. I think total all I caught was 9 or 10. Of course everyone I talked to said, "you should have been here yesterday"! Story of my life.
  5. Well at least the drum are safe from me down there!
  6. I don't think anyone cares who comes, so long as your there.
  7. Ok, lets get a head count on this shin-dig. I'm in for sure now, who else is in?
  8. Looking forward to fishing this Sunday with everyone. I found out I have the day off and I am going to get busy tying for this weekend.

    Hello

tclubbs2, where you from? If you want to hook-up sometime, I'll show you where the prime spots are. They are there, but like I said, don't come expecting the chance of a lifetime fish out of there. JMO FJ80, the trash has always been a problem. After a heavy rain you should see it. Everything in town dumps into that creek. It is sad I tell ya.

    Hello

Oh arkie traveler, how should I answer that? Actually I have caught one that was 16"+, haven't caught one any bigger. Then again maybe I suck!? I have seen pics of nice trout caught out of there and knew someone that caught a trophy out of there back in the 80's. It could be possible for there to be a nice fish or two in there, but I haven't chanced upon it. I did catch a nice greenie out of there! Of course the stocked fish are easy to catch and sometimes you can catch a holdover fish from the year before. Beautiful stream to just go and get away from it all.
  11. You guys nailed it right on the head with those last two posts!

    Hello

Hard to say Phil, Hickory is very, very small. Did I mention how small it is? Ya, motroutbum that was the skinny I got from Dave over at the hatchery too. Check out my previuos post on them getting cleaned out and I think you know what I am talking about.
  13. Hey now, I don't wave that buggy whip! Let a redneck spin guy in the mix! I promise I will smash the barb down. Lucky, you mean down at the old lodge?

    Hello

I haven't been there in about three weeks and I live about two blocks away! I will try and check into it tomorrow ok? Last time I was there they ( can you guess? ) cleaned them out. Report back later.
  15. I can say this for sure, not much water if any at all until further downstream. Big help I know!

    Hello

Anyone who wants or needs info on the Capps let me know, I only live 20 minutes away from there and know the stocking schedule most of the time.
  17. The 8th sounds like a good date to me. I will ask off work for that date and see if I can make it.
  18. Hey RR veteran, I can see it now, a little devil on one shoulder and a little angel on the other! Let's see, that's on a Sunday right? I'll try and make it if I can. Especially if someone is bringing the brew!
  19. Ya, I will more likely give you the name of a stream if you pm me, than out over the internet. Many smaller streams I fish couldn't handle all the publicity of the internet. I have to agree with Wayne's statement about the MDC. Sorry guys, I like trout fishing too, but the MDC has made it clear they want you to know where the stock trout are. Nothing wrong with that, they are non-native and are put there to take. Smallies on the other hand take soooooooo long just to get 12" and then most people take them before they can get any bigger. A couple of you have already mentioned two very small creeks here in SW MO that I would have never told over the net. All I am saying is to keep these smaller streams name out of the net or you may find the fishing not as good as it has been due to extra fishing pressure. Ok, I will get off my soapbox now.
  20. Steve, glad to hear from you! I didn't actually see the driver of that Jeep, but probably wouldn't have put two and two together anyways. I didn't make the rodeo either last year due to several reasons. One of these weekends we will get together down at RR. Not this Sunday though, I have to work Let me know a good day and I will try and ask off.
  21. No disrespect to any of you on this board, but there are very few people I would ever tell about my smallie huants. Ain't that right Wayne? BTW that sculpin jig is a terror on the creeks I fish. Kudos to you Gavin
  22. I was down there yesterday and froze my butt off! I did manage to catch a few though. I was throwing jigs and caught a dozen even. Had a nice one on for about 5 seconds below the second low water bridge. I caught all mine on a variety of different colors. Best was an olive/brown mix that I tie myself. Lucky fly I saw your Jeep, I was in a blue s-10 with Mo tags.
